He is an amazing story teller, he gives you chills. but he is more than that, time to step away from his dark side and have some fun. Ren was in a busker band where they performed on the street for money and man, where they great, you don't know Ren until you explore The Big Push. I suggest I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion/Hip Hop kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4TIdKiIapalm80 Wade in the Water/Nina Simone (Feeling Good)/Trouble So Hard This one is fun and simple Bongo Bong kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4KkhqimhKuUqNk There are many more, but how about some straight up R&B with Ren and Sam Tompkins singing Earned it/It's a Man's World/Falling Sam will blow you away. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4KkhqimhKuUqNk BTW, Ren has some excellent rap videos, but I will defer to others to mention those. Then you can mix in his other darker stuff, the guy is just incredible. I love you guys, been a fan since the Dimash days, and hope to see you go down this rabbit hole. Dimash is the greatest singer in the world, but Ren is the greatest performer I have ever seen or heard.

@@ReactToTheWorld Just because I’ve seen it so many times and various reactions too and I knew there was worse to come in the story as it went on. Sometimes it still makes me cry and other times it makes me laugh just because of how ridiculously talented he is doing these all in one take, his voice, his acting, his skills on the guitar. While this may be a story created by him sadly this is based on real life for so many in the U.K. and I’m sure elsewhere too. I can’t help but empathise for those who are stuck in that circle of violence in their lives.

The first time I've seen the trilogy, I was shook 🥺 As a fellow "Violet" I was not prepared to witness Ren's rendition of Stevie, which unfortunately was very realistic. But it is also very important to bring the issue of domestic abuse of women and men in the open. Ren makes people deal with issues they would rather avoid and gets them to face their emotions. Generational trauma is such a huge issue in our society, and it is great that he addresses it

Amazing reaction guys... There is also a live version of Ren doing this trilogy in front of a crowd, it is amazing, you can see the love flowing both ways between Ren and the crowd. Its also filmed using a 360 camera so you can spin it around and see the crowd join in on the Screech parts..

Beat me to it. I like the interactions Ren has with the crowd, such as begging one young lady to "please, please, please..." be careful when she is apparently doing something potentially dangerous (I didn't see her in the video, just heard Ren's admonitions). Great reaction! The two of you together offer a beautiful balance of perspective. I’d like to offer my viewpoint on why I think his music is resonating with so many people. My story. I also suffered from auto immunity. My experience happened when I was 35 years old. I’m 52 now and a piece of it still remains, but for the most part I’ve made a recovery. My struggle was with Epstein bar. The virus that causes mono. I had a particularly difficult case and severe strain. It hit me later in life and caused tremendous problems with my immune system. I remember a ten-year period where, on bad days, I would have to leave work and sleep in my car for three or four hours before returning. It caused severe depression and anxiety. I know so many people are moved by Ren. Those of us who have dealt with a debilitating illness for an extended period of time relate to him even more profoundly. I’ve probably watched the Hi Ren video over 100 times and it makes me cry every time. It’s not just because I feel for Ren and his pain, which I obviously do, but because of the incredibly powerful emotional feelings of triumph and hope and the appreciation of artistry that wash over me. His words are so beautifully crafted and potent that they feel like divine intervention. You begin to understand that Hi Ren is his fight song, his victory song as well as his testimony. I’ll remember the first time I experienced the song in the same breath as Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Bowie, or The Beatles. Something magnificent and great, almost not from this world. This is why I relate on a deep level to Ren. He captures the true inner struggle for so many of us!

yeah, would be nice to get him to Vegas...so many varied kinds of venues; pretty sure they could scout out just the right ones. and...you're right for the most part, Ren didn't really "flex" that singing ability until VIOLET, when i will never get tired of 1) his vocalization early in the song before the singing starts, where he's just playing guitar and looking around, and 2) the beauty of the note he hits in singing "she never stood a chance..." as both he and the camera throw their looks upward at the ascending staircase. the combination of hitting that note so perfectly and the acoustics of the stairwell...and then i guess also when he lets us her Violet's desperation when she's pleading for the doctor to save her baby (turns about babIES, yes) while he increased the tempo on his guitar playing to support the sort of frantic point he had reached. his use of the guitar to support the mood of a scene is nothing short of wizardry; using all tools at hand to beef up what COULD be a lifeless mess of a production--a guy and his guitar, big deal, right? instead, he uses his comfort w/that tool to improve and drive the story, just like the variation on his vocals/spoken word. OK, cheers........also from Vegas (Summerlin).

i think its important to aknowledge the meaning of this tale. The twins mother, violet, was silent and had a miserable life just by permitting what happened to her. After she died, her twins went to replicate the exact conduct of theyr parents with the same patterns even without knowing them. Irony of life,;or that bad things are the seed for more bad things to come. Its better to die sometimes than live a whole life of misery and extend your misery to others; specially if you die by doing what you think its correct. At least that's how i see it

it gets worse if you delve deeper into it... Ren put out several instagram shors where he enacts bits and pieces of Screech's story and turns it into a real life sort of documentary by staging the theft of his cellphone by Screech. Also, the first 2 stories are apparently inspired by a newsarticle about a young teenager killing a prostitute during a mugging. the third chapter in which he ties it all together, was written years later and entirely a brainchild of Ren's amazing storytelling. Screech and Jenny obviously, given the circumstances, were separated at birth and fed into the system... both ended up with bad situations... there are several hints in the lyrics at Jenny being a streetwalker, at age 14, which is just so sad... Screech himself is a petty criminal off his head on drugs..which he probably smokes because of the abusive domestic situation he lives in, that night, was supposed to commit a break-in/robbery, but his would be partners in crime flake on him and he's so desperate to get enough money to escape from having to go back home at night, that he mugs the first person he meets, Jenny. as a sidenote, Patrick was a friend of his, whom he's a bit of a dick/bully towards... and he wasn't home that day, because he was with Screech's girlfriend.... getting "busy".

Ren call this style Bardcore and here's the origin story of the trilogy 🤩😁🤯 This wasn't originally a trilogy story. Ren read in the paper one day with a small article about a 14 yr old boy killing a young prostitute in an attempted robbery and then being shot and killed by the police later that evening. It disturbed him, so he set out to write a commentary on not just senseless violence, but on how desensitized we are in today's society. This wasn't big news, it wasn't even front page, being buried somewhere 0n pg.6 or 7. The main example of this is in the words he ends both Jenny and Screech's Tales with "It's such a Shame". We say these words all to often and just move on without a second thought. The article quoted the lead inspector at the scene say " So Young, Its such a shame" shaking his head, he walked away. Violets Tale was written over 2 years later adding another layer of commentary by Ren. Not only generational violence but making us think of how both these lives be so cursed. Born out of violence on the same day and then both killed with brutal violence on the same night. Also, his lyrics have multiple meanings if read in between the lines you'll more then likely hear something that'll make you think. Here's an example of things that made me go Hmm...🤔🤔 Example: Jenny has the same traits as her mother Violet, quiet, voiceless, and timid. Where as Screech mirrors his father Stevie in every way, Loud, obnoxious, and easily prone & provoked to violence. They didn't know one another and had never met their biological parents. Yet, what made these kids so much like their parents? Was it simply Nature, inherited traits in their genetic make-up or Nurture, being brought up in the broken system of broken children? Love your channel, Cheers 🥂

If you want to hear him sing for real see ”chalk outlines” or ”how to be me”. Both live duets with Chinchilla.

The writing is so graphic and vivid. It walks a fine line but is more reportage, never celebration. You can feel his anger but it is directed at society, not the characters he portrays.

It's not too late for him to play Legion in a future MCU X-Men movie or show. Unlikely, but not too late.
