You're the very first time I've seen a reactor stop in Violet's Tale to address the abuse from the father (and mother) in depth. Most just ignore it. From someone who went thru this - thank you. Thank you for giving it the attention it needs. Thank you for giving those of us who have to live with the aftermath of it the acknowledgement. You are a good person. Thank you 😔

I pray that you continue to heal. I may have let that part get the best of me, but i can feel how this would potentially destroy and scar a person for life and I wouldn’t want to wish that on anybody. Although, I was frustrated at this part, I understand that we need to talk about these things as they are silenced. I pray for your continued healing. You are worthy of being here and you’re here for a reason. So thank you for being open enough to share in a very vulnerable place. And if nobody has told you…I’m sorry….you deserve to hear and feel those words. I can’t change the past, but I hope that those words help you heal.

@@ToneDeafMusiq whoa. I read this yesterday and when you said "And if nobody has told you ... I'm sorry...you deserve to hear and feel those words", I don't know what happened to me. It was like I was stunned by something and couldn't think, still can't really. That just hit me like a ton of bricks. Thank you, I guess I needed to hear those words more than I knew. I'm still waiting for some kind of acknowledgement or apology from my mother. She's 90 so I don't see that happening. I'm 66 and it's just always been there in the background of my brain. My husband was the only adult I trusted after becoming an adult, and even with him not fully. I definitely became a ferocious mama bear with my own kids. When he passed I still had 2 of our 4 kids at home and never dated because I didn't trust bringing anyone into my home with my kids. This is getting long so I'll stop, but you truly threw me for a loop and I want to thank you for that. You always seem to know just what to say during your reactions and responses. You're a kind soul, just like Ren. Much love 💜

@ToneDeafMusiq well my mission lately is female rappers that have more content and meaning than the, uh, mainstream stuff being pushed, but it's just one of many, many things I go after. Try Omeretta the Great, her FunkFlex freestyle... just for a quick, fun, easy one. The captions are useless tho, they can't keep up with her speed or her Atlanta accent 🤦🏻♀️🤷♀️. I actually have a whole playlist of awesome female rappers called "girls who can rap-rap" if you want something fun to sift through. Most of my playlists are public even tho almost all of them are work-in-progress lists lol. kzbin.info/www/bejne/epzNeWqOft-SZtEsi=Yqwmuuou5jbv-fts I'll probably stick around for the patreon for some more in-depth stuff, this one is more light-hearted and is just stuck in my head today cause it made me smile. Like, I want to hear your input on a dozen different artists off the top of my head. Prof? Doechii? Yelawolf? Chinchilla? Webby? Tierra Whack? Caskey? Lol I have a ton.

What I’m about to say is very personal, but if I can help just one other person not feel so alone, I don’t care; I’ll talk about it forever…. When I was 10 years old I was sexually abused by somebody in my family. I didn’t tell anybody out of fear, until it was found out by my mother when I was 18. He was confronted and lied, and my family believed him over me. It destroyed me inside and made me lose my ability to trust anybody. I’ve spent my whole life trying to recover. Your reaction was exactly what I wish somebody would have felt for me back then. From all the women out there who have been abused; we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your words and your love towards us women; in general. Your daughters are incredibly lucky to grow up with a father like you. Truly. ❤ Absolutely beautiful reaction.

Freezing quietly was my constant mode of operation. Thankfully there were people who would enter my life to provide hope. The breakthrough took years. One reason for the breakthrough was not accepting hardness within myself. As a result I spent over 40 years as a community social worker for children with special needs helping their parents to break away from their own devastating history in order to change the trajectory of their and their child's life. Though the majority tried and kept falling down there were enough able to rise out of the abyss to know a difference was made.

I am sure his own dreams far outweigh any we would (selfishly?) wish for him, however, he is limited by what his body will actually allow him to achieve. He may never be able to tour "normally", he may have to limit his time producing music to a few months each year, or he may one day, heal fully. It is in the lap of the gods. Until then, grateful he has given us over 100 videos/songs already. Grateful I can listen to him each day if I want. Also, grateful I lived on this earth at the same time he did so I have had the chance to hear his music.

Great reaction, breakdown and insight. Loved the end when "it clicked". Seen a few reactors miss the entire twist even after it ends. 🤦♂️😄

I haven't enjoyed a moment by moment anticipation of watching someone watching this this much ever before! A great reaction to a masterclass in stroy telling, wanding minstral style. Notice how most of the musical characteristics of the narrator are all somewhat medieval, in line with how tales were told back in ye olde days, and no less than a Shakespearean tragedy. Top job my man! 💞🐷 Ps. Are you sure you can't do a Ren reaction every day, lol

Best reaction to this I have seen..and I’ve seen a lot!!!! ❤❤❤

Don’t want to gush, but I can’t remember when I enjoyed a reaction more. Thank you for this. xx Thank you for commenting on the abuse of young Violet by her father/step-father. You are the only person who I have heard do this - and I have watched this many, many times. I am like you, not affected directly, but I know people that this has happened to.

Thank you. I loved your reaction to the story and quick awareness. One thing I noticed in Jenny’s story, having seen it a few times…she was wearing high heeled shoes, walking home late at night with rouge on her cheeks wanting to “escape”. She was only 14! and had been on the streets a thousand times? Prostitute? And also, like you said, she froze when confronted by Screech. Previous trauma? She couldn’t speak just like her mom couldn’t speak because of her prolonged abuse. You’re right. These stories happen all the time. It’s not a fable. It’s real. Thank you Ren and you, for reacting to this shining, graphic spotlight on this issue. We must do better.

Awesome reaction dude. You are firmly becoming a favourite reactor! Thank you for your deep perspectives. FYI There is a video Ren released before Jennys tale depicting the life of Screech just before he met Jenny, which was originally a series of Instagram stories, but later collated into a single video. I'll get the link.....
I usually recommend this video to those who show interest in the back stories and characters. It shows Screech's life, his friends, his desperation for attention and love, his inability to have proper relationships. It explains his motivation for what he did that night. It's very enlightening. Ren ... he's just masterful.

I have seen more reactions to this than I'd like to admit and I must say, yours is one of the best. You totally got what Ren was trying to achieve and in one viewing which is amazing bc it's such an intense experience that it really takes a few views for most of us to really appreciate everything. This is a masterpiece which I feel if there was any justice on the World, should've received at least a Grammy. Unfortunately, due to Ren's health struggles, a regular stage performance wouldn't be something he could do. However, Ren said that he'd love to have a series on Netflix and I understand he was in talks with them. He was supposed to move to LA this year in fact to get that started, but he had his relapse and is now enduring more treatment in Calgary.😢 My next suggestion for you is Seven Sins...a beast of a song ❤ (There's only a lyric video but fear not...it's brilliant )

Rap? Check. Hip Hop? Check. Inner Dialog? Check. Storytelling? Triple Check. The list goes on! Love your reactions, thank you for waiting until you had the time/energy to give this one the attention it deserves, it is long. I love that Ren is willing to open conversations to the hard things humans deal with. Can't fix what we're not willing to realize is happening.

Every single thing here was done to perfection! The emotional rollercoaster this sent me on took a lot out of me. But i certainly didn’t expect my Sunday morning to start like that. However, it gave me something to digest and think over. This just made me want to continue to grow. And continually do better! We need these conversations!

your reaction and insight to this video was what ive been waiting to see, i kept seeing people not really talk about the real issue and get in-depth like you did. i felt the same anger you did and love your reaction you're an one of the best reactors on here. thank you for taking time to react to ren sending lots of love

🙇♀️Amen my friend. As a society we have to do better. I'm so glad you did this sooner rather than later. As hard as the subject matter is...generational trauma is a fact of life and Ren has portrayed it perfectly. I'm amazed with his ability to get through these acts. No doubt he wouldve had to become the characters and get outside his own feelings to do them. Your small edits (😍) added to the depth of the situations as well. I have a love/hate relationship with this song. As much as I hate the subject matter, I love to know it does get told and maybe will lend to someone putting a stop to it when they see it or to even know what it is they are seeing when it touches their life. Bravo on the reaction. I do hope you were able to shake it off cuz brother...it hits deep. Peace and love always until there is no more!❤
