So pretty!! I'm definitely the type that likes to wear my hair like this for no reason. It's just so much more interesting than a pony tail!

The fact that a hairstick actually WORKS is something I find amazing. I love this hairstyle, it's amazing. Thank you so much for this.

Just tried it and everyone loved it :D I'm gonna try and do it again tomorrow, so I'm gonna keep the small rope braids in overnight and only unpin the rest. The only problem is that my hair is very thick, and my short hair stick (12 cm) was 1) not nearly enough to keep my hair up, so I combined it with pins, and 2) that the stick could be pushed in the bun and neither end would be visible. So I stuck it in halfway. I think I'll definitely order some of those lovely giant wooden hair sticks from Etsy. Thanks as always for an excellent tutorial! :D

Have you seen movies called Arn - The Knight Templar and Arn - The Kingdom at Road's End? I think you might like them because you like fantasy and medieval stuff :) They are made in Sweden and tell about Swedish history in 12th century by following a story of Arn who becomes a knight templar. And especially in the second part there are some very cool medieval hairstyles for women ;)

For the rope braids, does it matter which directions they go (i.e, that they are twisted individually clockwise and twisted together counterclockwise), or is it only important that the two twists go in opposite directions?
@silvousplaits7 жыл бұрын
nope, it doesn't matter which direction you twist the individual strands, just so long as you twist them together in the opposite direction afterwards!
