They have quite a few mid-tempo songs and at least 16 acoustic versions of songs. The acoustics on their YT channel are Catharsis and Sayonakidori (Miku sings). Some of the mid-tempo songs with MVs are Endless Story, Daydreaming, Wonderland, Start Over, About Us, Memorable. Some audio-only tracks are Page, Anemone, Mirage, At The Drop of a Hat, Awkward.

Wow, that statue of Ale is awesome. Great job! This collaboration with Mike Einziger has created a wonderful song about friendship. Mohammed Ali once said, "If you don't understand the meaning of friendship, you understand nothing>" Well said. This heartfelt lyrical tribute from Miku to her bandmates is so beautiful. The video itself, I would simply describe as beautiful. The Maids with their all-white outfits look beautiful (including their hair), ethereal, even angelic (especially Kanami with her gossamer lace "angel" wings). Then Kanami takes us soaring into the heavens with that incredible solo. These departures from their normal sounds and looks again give us a glimpse into their versatility and creativity. Band-Maid is amazing!!!!!!

I did a reaction to a fan made video of that song since the release wouldn't be for quite awhile. It was a great song but it got taken down since it wasn't released yet. At least I got to hear it though and still have a copy on my computer to listen to.

Another fantastic reaction and breakdown. Like your little subtitles on your thoughts. I think the other Maidiacs covered your questions. So, I'll just say "Daydreaming" is my favorite song from Band-Maid, at it's a mid-tempo rock ballad. And why not, as in an interview, it's Kanami's favorite song to play. If you ever get the 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena on BD, Kanami's intro to "Daydreaming" at Yokohama Arena, is nothing short of spectacular. A heartfelt tribute to her Grandmother who she so wanted to perform in front of at Yokohama Arena. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘

Excellent comments, especially on some of the little nuances in Bestie. BTW, all of the members have done backup vocals. There are a several songs where only Kanami and Saiki play, with Kanami on backup vocals. But the 2021 Christmas acoustic concert is where everyone chips in at one point or another. There are 2, 3, and 4-part harmonies, as well as 5 part unison. It's a brilliant concert, but they only ever loaded two songs from it to their channel, including Sayonakidori, where Akane does backup to Miku. That one would be plenty safe to react to.

I love how Band-Maid can start easy but end so heavy. They always go hard at some point in their soft songs. It's like they never let you think they are going weak.

Hey there, enjoyed the reaction. As far as backing vocals, Miku, as you said, does most of them. Kanami has done primary backing vocal duty on some early acoustics and does group backing vocals. Akane joins in for group backing vocals. Misa rarely does any vocals (she did on a couple of the Christmas acoustic songs) but, not sure of the right word to use, will say that she did not look like it was her favorite thing to do. I know others have suggested it, but I would suggest Endless Story (especially the live, but maybe a double reaction to both the omv and live. However, if only doing one, I would say go with the live. It shows how much the appreciate their fans. Saki speaks to the crowd at one point so subs may actually be helpful a time or two in the live.) and Daydreaming (which is my number 2 all time Band Maid song). For something a little more Jazzy, you could go with Wonderland live..

I want to thank you for your straight forward reaction. I was a musician for 56 plus years. Until about 10 years ago I had a disability to my left and and elbow. Same type of disability that Keith Emerson had and committed suicide with. I have been following Band-Maid since 2014, I believe Band-Maid is the most important band to music today. I believe Band-Maid is more progressive rock. IMHO. I studied music theory for about 3 years and I believe Kanami Tono wrote writes 98% studied music theory also. And yes all of them can sing, but they won't admit it to you. lol. Again thank you for your reactions of Band-Maid. The majorly of reaction channels I basically hit the don't recommend button, because they offer nothing to me. I know commenter's will send hate comments to me. 👍👍🕊️🇺🇸

Bestie, in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, About Us, Memorable, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, was co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus. MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! And Miku’s English lyrics are heartfelt. Is Band-Maid a band of fashion-forward, trend-setting Besties? 💞 Thx, Mikey, Band-Maid and Ken! FYI - The Maids just released a "Making of Bestie" on their websites where they explain the song and look of their awesome MV.

He’s a humble Indonesian fork lift driver who puts out finger style covers of well known music. Yes, all the Maids have added backup singing in other songs. Of course, Miku has her own songs where she is the lead, During the on-line Christmas Okyu-ji that Band-Maid released in December of 2021, Akane sang backup during "Sayonakidori", the official acoustic video. Only Miku, MISA, and Akane performed as a trio during the song. If you haven't seen that official acoustic version of the song, it is well worth reacting to. It really shows how sweet and beautiful Miku's voice is. From that same Christmas Okyu-ji, all the Maids, including MISA, added backing vocals on the song "Page", which closed the Okyu-ji. I don't know if you can pull the video of "Page" from the Band-Maid official KZbin channel, but it is another beautiful, uplifting song by the group. Again, well worth the listen.

KANAMI doesn’t like to sing, but she provides backing vocals on several songs. Also she provides beautiful, ethereal backing vocals in her duet with SAIKI, for their live acoustic rendition of PUZZLE. The only time we hear MISA’s voice in a song is in the opening of SECRET MAIKO LIPS. ENDLESS STORY is another beautiful mid-tempo song in which MISA is going crazy on bass. Start with the OMV, but also be sure to watch the live video from 2023.

With your back ground in many elements of production you must find a lot of things to interest you in Band-Maid. So it's great for us to hear your thoughts. Hearing that you like slower songs you would really enjoy some of their mid tempo songs. If you haven't already done so, try Wonderland Official Live video or Daydreaming Official music Video.

This song didn't grab me at first, outside of Akane's fills and Kanami's solo, but one has to understand the relationship that these incredible ladies have with each other. It has definitely grown on me, even if it hasn't quite reached the top tier of songs for me, and I still can't get used to that abrupt ending.
