The shoulder joint is muscles and tendons attached to bones. Blood flow helps you to heal. If pain is from tendon wear, avoiding running the tendons across the bone and strengthening the muscle at the same time, solves the issues.

I wonder if it is something like not damaging the muscle too much while putting those body parts still under the positive process that is the exercise done

Mike is the perfect example of the type of person that should never go into management or leadership positions. 15:43 is a great example. Mike has clearly heard of "time under tension" and knows it's important. He doesn't know why (16:00) but he heard it once and wants to maintain the attention on himself, rather than prioritizing the the education itself.

Great video! One thing I will say about the BP stretch (bringing the bar to the chest) - I have a very narrow torso when viewed from the side. In order for me to touch my chest, I have to come down significantly lower than most people (who have thicker torsos). If I go all the way, I'll damage my shoulders (one of which is already damaged from a bike accident resulting in a dislocation). Point is, not everyone should bring the bar down to the chest. Actually, i should say that not everyone CAN bring the bar right down to their chest SAFELY (key word).

As much as I'm worried about influencers openly expressing their use of gear to get the results they have, I beleive it to be better than those who claim to be natural who arent. What you can acheive as a result of lifting without additional help shouldn't be clouded by the desire of those who are too chicken to admit that theyre on juice.

I have a question regarding the box squat comments around 7:33 I can't deep squat (yet) because even at less than half way down I can't fire back up, unloaded - I just collapse. I've been working on leg press, with as much ROM I can get out of the machine (The machine is dogshit and locked short of full ROM for some reason at the gym I'm at.), and can barely push 40-50kg for reps (I'm 107kg current, losing body fat because I was 134kg November 2023.) I also have a neuro-something problem with my left leg, drop foot and lack of side ways ankle mobility. What can I do to get that squatting going ?

Hi Mike, I have a question regarding the segment of the video where you discuss how changing foot position on the leg press doesn't impact muscle growth. Does this principle apply to other exercises as well? I recall Jeff Nippard mentioning that foot placement could affect muscle growth in exercises like the toe press for calves and the seated hamstring curl. I hope somebody can clarify this doubt :)
@gregorwhyte374311 ай бұрын
Depends the exercise leg extensions inward straight or outward toes effect the part of the quad targeted same with platz penguin squat
@jettfuelfitness11 ай бұрын
Mike has said before that worrying too much about toe position likely reduces your ability to produce force so much that it is less productive for any muscles involved than simply pushing hard in the most comfortable position. He may have changed stance on this, but I’ve heard him say something along those lines. Most recently he said something similar about foot position in squats on Eugene Teo’s channel.
