The Renault Arkana strays into a market segment for mid-sized coupe-SUVs previously only occupied by the premium brands. To compensate for the lack of a posh badge on the bonnet, you get plenty of pavement presence and a dose of Renault latest hybrid technology, with both mild hybrid and full-hybrid petrol powerplants on offer. As for the inside, well here's where the efforts made to imbue recent smaller models with extra cabin quality have paid off, enabling Renault to push up-market using the same interior technology. The result is a surprisingly polished proposition.

I agree. It is a trend though, unfortunately. Maybe the wind tunnel tests were so conclusive they killed it over fuel economy. I would have chosen differently though, too.

I'm using Rain-X on windows. It's no miracle product, but it definitely helps to make the rain drain of the rear window when driving (the airflow helps blowing the water away)

It’s bad to see a car like this with out a automatic boot no cameras on sides and front no auto parking while similar Models have it while lot of accessories on screen but not working

Price point, and I think also transitional car for many towards the more tech filled EV market. On the top trim you can add some autonomous driving features. I would love to see those also available on the mid spec, but alas. The electronic boot IMO is a faff. I can see the added value only on the parking lot of a sports club showing off to the guy you just lost to. Winners take the spoils and write the history books, and are right as per usual, so then suddenly the manual boot is in line with sensible decision making and self reliance... 😁

Mine is auto parking but I like it too much to trust that. I have no idea why you think that is a game changer for a car most people have managed to park without it for a 100 years.
