Renault Clio Service Required Warning Reset - How To DIY

Must follow these instructions to the letter. Sit in car, put in neutral, do NOT press the brake, then press ‘start’ button to merely get the ‘ign’ to come on, without starting the engine. IE all the dash lights up, there’s a clunk from the steering column as the steering lock disengages…now follow exactly what the man says to the letter. I wouldn’t even advise overshooting and backing up with the top button. Follow the instructions and get it right first time. One addition - in the ‘service intervals’ there is a setting for a general ‘service’ as well as oil change ‘service’, do this trick of pressing the down button on the rhs stalk, until the numbers change, for both of these services. There’s a lot of flashing of text up there, and always wait for that to stop happening, that’s when the system has accepted the changes made - if you let go of the down button while the service interval is STILL flashing, it’ll just revert to being how it was! Lastly, note that even if there are lots of miles or km to go, until service, the MONTHS might say ‘0’ , so you MUST be precise about this. Thanks, the garage refused to clear it, without us paying for them to actually service the car. Phfft. Take care all.

@@geniousguys I solved it. Special equipment was connected and we found that the wrong parameter was written in the settings for 0 days when you knock down the service interval. We changed it to 365 days and after that it turned out to be done as in the video.

I'm not sure about that specific model, but at first I also thought my Renault clio didn't have service intervals. But that was because my car was keyless and I didn't actually put the key card in. Once I physically put the key card in the service intervals option appeared.

He is demonstrating on an automatic clio. Put it in gear and press the button without the clutch depressed. It should say press clutch to start. Happened to me just there.
