What's the one thing you couldn't live without in a Camper Van?

My Father lived for over 3 years in his old Renault Traffic camper, firstly in Baltimore then later Killarney.

Camper vans are taking over from caravans from my experience of motorway driving, but although they are expensive for me I would imagine they depreciate slowly I see lots of van conversions just like this one.

The Master has too much tapering towards the roof. Boxer/Ducato/Relay bodies are very square. Beds accross are nearly 190 cm (over 6’2”) and the medium height body has over 6’ 3” headroom. They are a bit rough but are cheap and reliable with magic engines...... they make great conversions for almost any size of pocket.
@russcattell955i6 жыл бұрын
I agree David, squarer is cool for camper vans.
@JohnnyMotel996 жыл бұрын
David Hayes I was going to write the same. This reason is why the Ducato chassis is the most prevalent in this sector.

Great review We have a Renault Master on a Lwb 4.5tonne rwd van with a conversion based on the Autosleeper kingham van bathroom is a we bit tight but it's a great van. You've just gained a new subscriber.

Great video, I wish you could review more camper vans. I want to buy one for the family

I'm 6'2" and you can fit in the permanent double bed of a camper based on Fiat Ducato. Still don't like the space the bed takes up though, prefer drop down type on old Hymers. For vehicles this size I think I'd settle for bed you make up from settee or rock and roll style.

Bob, you look like Jamie Carraghers brother. Nice review, I'm away to check out Cosy Campers.

I don't like long wheelbase cars. Ofc you get plenty of room, but driving and parking those cars is annoying. I feel like there is plenty of space in the shortest version.

I'd love somthing like this. More a larger body one. However the conversation goes like this, I want a camper can. Wife goes, that's a good idea, how much. Me, errrr second hand about 40k. Wife rolls around laughing. Muttering about 10 years worth of holidays to France, Spain or Turkey.

Takes a bit of investment and you have to love the life. It's hard to make it work unless you have 2+ kids then it starts to pay off in prices
@StephenButlerOne6 жыл бұрын
@@BobFlavinVideo we have 5 'kids', but now we are really down to two, one 10 the other 16. I look at iad a countdown to freedom lol. she seems to think she is also done. I refuse to start again. I want a camper not a kid.
