€45k... wow, that's a lot. I was expecting it to start at around €25k. Maybe that's ignorance on my part, but once you're in that price range you're open to a whole wide gamut of options.

It depends on where you live, I guess. In Romania it starts from around 31k euro. I don't know what is with the huge cost difference.

Starts at €50k in the Netherlands. Last year it was ‘only’ €42k, but apparently they had to tax it some more.

Great review as always. Starting price of 45k Euro is VW Golf R money though. Rennault pricing is way off as the quality is not there as apposed to the German class leaders.

Paying the government €700 a year for road tax ,would kill stone dead my enthusiasm for this car,I believe mpg is in the low thirty's so more tax at the pump. Taking the pee methinks

Well let's be honest it's a French car and French cars are well known for shoddy build qualities so it's not going to be as well as put together as the VW Golf or the Civic Type R. I'd rather have the money and take the lovely Sinead out to a top restaurant then spend it on a French car. *Wink*
