Renault P0488 EGR throttle position fault, Part 1

Really helpful. Thanks. Got a bad EGR on my Vivaro. Changing it over tomorrow. Got a P0488 code. Hopefully, a new valve will sort it. It's one those electronic ones, no vacuum. 9 years old 90k miles. 🤞

Yes, all sorted but I also had to change the exhaust pressure sensor which was also bad. All DTC codes cleared and all is well again. Many thanks.

Nothing too fancy here but I just thought it interesting the way the desired Egr position went stagnant when the car saw the egr valve not opening as expected. Happy Christmas mate & have a great new year. Thanks for all the support over 2023 🙏🙏🙏

I recorded the repair on Friday and posted it yesterday. I went for a walk today Kevin & thought that I should have recorded bidirectionally operating the new egr valve. Sometimes the necessity for a speedy repair impacts on content quality 😬😬

It is uploaded now Chis, simple enough but the fault code explanation’EGR throttle fault’ and the desired EGR position pegging at -4% was a bit misleading. It all makes common sense once thought about but you must think like an ECU to get it. Happy Christmas Chris 🎄🎄🎄
