Very informative, thank you! I've got the same car, 1.9 dci 131 hp. The belt has been just replaced and everything else required every 50 - 80 thousand kms. However, there's a new sound around the belt and it takes 2-3 seconds for the car to start. What could go wrong when doing this to cause this start delay? I also think it goes a bit slower too, but it might be just my imagination.

Usually there shouldn't be a problem because it's with fuel injectors not with old mechanical pump that needs adjustments

Hello the Mechanic just to ask about when you push the belt and it goes to that point i am talking when we tenssion it i must look at this point only? If so is that realible enough? Should i check on the top if the belt get twisted to 90 degree ? Many thanks in advance.

For this vehicle there is special tool to measure the tension but it's difficult to find that tool so I do it by eye timing belt should not be over tension and should not be loose with this mechanical tensioner is very difficult to adjust

I forgot to ask you about the water pump! Did you put silicone on this type of gasket?
@mechanicigor4 жыл бұрын
No silicone on metal gasket

its a good thing they finaly quit using this type of tensioner on megane3 1,9dci. and their stupid ideea of keeping their vehicles for repair only to be handled in their dealer service betwork, using expensive dificult to find tools like frequency meters, the pretensioning tools and setings and a 11nm torque wrech just to mount a simple cambelt..
