we are just about to take delivery of our first zoe (iconic or zen). can you do a video about how to drive with the automatic handbrake... i don't find the official renault film at all useful... ..hill starts? parking on a slope? reversing?

Mine's in shop this weekend having the relevant updates and creaky tailgate fixed, and guess what colour the courtesy car is. Yes, a RED one! 😱 Got to say I prefer the Quartz White 😅

Awesome, would love to get this. We bought a second hand ZE50 R135 last week, but it has this lovely feature where it won't charge on public chargers... Which wouldn't be that big a deal, but we live in an apartment and can only charge publicly. It also won't preheat, either via the app or the car itself. Getting it to the dealer on Wednesday, should be a software update to fix all of it. Here's hoping!

Aslong as your dealer connects the zoe to the clip tool in the dealership all updates will be applied.

Sorry if you said it in the video, but I tend to skip around a bit. Did you get the car to a dealership to apply the relevant ACTIS or did the car update OTA? And does the Energy info menu give some more info when charging, like charging no speed, charge limit, charge ETA? Cheers.

Hello again my car has finally arrived at the dealership for collection sometime next week. I have a question are there any jacking points on the Zoe to allow a kobole tyre fitter in the future to raise the vehicle and carry out the change. Cannot find concrete info on this anywhere other than taking car back to dealership and paying their hyped prices

My Zoe has just been in for the dodgy boot catch fix. No mention of any updates from the dealer. I have had several electrical issues with my newish car which remain unresolved despite donating £120 per hour to investigate. One is the SatNav and binacle instruments will suddenly dim to near dark. I then have to stop driving and manually brighten them. It has done this 3 times in the last 3 months. Secondly, when charging the car it, often switches off. This happens at both Public and at home. The dealer says it is due to power surges. I don't thinks so. Energy suppliers such as PodPoint say their chargers were not at fault. Advice welcome please.

Is it me or is the app a lot slower now ? When got the car in June it was really fast and very time did schedule charging screen first time and even when got preheating done worked very time now in 2021 time I’ve tried it ,it takes 5-6 times to preheating and charging timer now says there was an error or you wait 2-3 mins and then says it going to sent when next online or something? Car and phone are in good signal area and same place as was last year ? Anyone have idea ?

Hello Mr Zoe the Oracle have some questions regarding my new Zoe please 1. I have activated my connect services yesterday and there is a upward and downward arrow which would suggest i am connected but i cannot see any info on my Renault app which is saying it can take 72hrs but it appears to have been done already 2. I cannot locate where on the screen so that if i go over the speed limit is should beep and let you know 3. There is a toggle switch to turn on the cabin filter but cannot get it to change from off to on 4 finally and lastly i cannot seem to enable the auto update button for the map updates as its greyed out. Lot of queries but would appreciate any help that you can provide. Thanks Raj

Oh joy. After months trying to get the pre-conditioning sorted, we now have another update that our dealer never told us about, knows nothing about and probably can't fix. Phone calls start Monday- we're going in!

@@matthewcattermole5718 No progress at all Renault Grimsby we never even contacted as they failed so miserably before. Renault Hull who are meant to have the "Master Tech" deny that there are any such recalls or updates. Currently taking the issue up with Renault themselves....

I thought Renault had over the air updates , a bit naff going into the dealer for this , luckily mine 7 miles away, got a window leak in heavy rain so need looked at again

OTA for the media system and maps not hardware like this. As it's getting the information from the HEVC system which isn't connected to the OTA side it needs clip tool to run update.

I have just got a new ZE50 which has the energy info screen, does this mean it will have the latest BMS software or are they mutually exclusive? I've not done enough journeys to know if there are range issues but I'm driving around doing 4.1-4.2 mpkWh with a full charge showing 231 miles to empty, new EV driver so not sure on all of this.

Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. So last century. Electric cars, electric trucks, electric buses, electric trash haulers, electric snow blowers, electric lawn mowers, electric snow mobiles, electric water craft, electric garden tools, electric mechanic tools, electric motor cycles, electric bicycles, electric scooters, electric farm tractors, electric construction equipment, electric delivery vehicles, ...... everything is going electric. No worries about starting after sitting for a few months. Gas always needs repairs.

I have taken my new Renault Zoe for it’s first annual service, and requested at the same time they update the software with this new battery information option, butCity Motors Bristol they are not aware of any updates for this. Is it an option you have to pay for? My Zoe is the GT line with CCS rapid charging.

Incorrect tell City Motors to plug the Renault Clip tool in and apply relevant updates that are available for your vehicle. This is not chargeable and warranties claimable for them as these updates are needed, Tell them one of the main updates needing applying is a BMS issue which is a priority. They will not be aware of any update because its the clip tool connected to the car that will tell them to apply the update,

Interestingly I was on my way to collect my car today, Friday, when they phoned me to say that I was right and there was an update and recall, but the software was taking them hours to download and therefore they ran out of time. They apologised and said it should be ready Monday and I can keep the courtesy car over the weekend. I’m not angry just disappointed as they had my car all day only to be told 8 hours later of the issue, I’ll update this page when I collect my car in 3 days time. I’m sure they are doing their best but it’s good have you guys to help with the latest information.

I had this since the end of December when my ZE50 arrived. I'm a bit confused. How can I know if there are any updates for my car? For example I don't have the map on the main dashboard screen (the one behind the wheel). I thought OTA updates included everything but it's clearly not the case. Do I really have to go to the dealer and ask if there are any? Do I have to pay?

Do you have the large screen on dash if you have the smaller screen then you don't get the map option online higher spec gtline zoes have this option. If you have the larger screen goto my previous video on how to change dash display all explained there

Hello good afternoon just want to inform you that i have collected my Renault Zoe quite recently. After receiving my vehicle i drove away from the dealership and after 3 miles the instrument display was totally blacked out. The sales manager came and collected me and gave me a courtesy car while the fault was investigated. Turned out to be a fault instrument cluster all fine today. I have a few questions to ask 1. I had no towing eye supplied with vehicle 2. No tyre inflation kit 3. Not sure but do they provide a safety / first aid kit as there was one in the demo Zoe 4. No lint free cloth for cleaning the tablet screen. Would be grateful if you can advice compared to your Zoe. Thanks Raj

No towing eye as its not allowed to be towed, there should be a tyre repair kit and safety first aid kit bag, and lint cloth is only for GTLine and should be in the hand pack
