I've just had the update done on my ZE50. (after receiving the recall email).. it didn't work straight away.. but seemed to sort itself out after sitting on the drive for 30 mins. I was about to think it wasn't going to work then the launch button went blue on the app. So all good! Waiting for the first frost of the year!

Hi all, my ZOE was delayed at dealer due to a hardware fix for pre-conditioning so I guess mine needed a part. However the software update is great news! It's been delivered on Monday I'll book it in that week!

Got a brand new ZE50 My 22.5 precondition from the app does not work, I would have thought that by now they would have fixed it? Also i set a timed precondition schedule for this morning and it did not do it. Does it need to be plugged in? I dont really want to charge every night :(

I am in the same boat, but in Bulgaria ;) Cost me two 80-km round-trip journeys to convince the Renault service guys that the car needs firmware update. I've been told that a special R-Link USB is needed for this particular one, of which there is just 1 (one) in the whole country. Wednesday is the day, when I will get to know if it works for me...

What exact update did you have to install and for which component? My dealer in Poland claims that my Zoe has everything up to date yet instant preconditioning form the app (by pressing the button on main screen) does not work. I think I have to tell them what needs updating.

I just bought a ze50 demo car from a dealer and that update was not fixed so have to get it back and fix it.

Becoue this can only be done by the dealer and should have been fixed and tested before the customers got the cars. But somehow this didnt happend.

What was the fix? I have been talking to Renault about mine not working for weeks, they seem to be suggesting it's me not setting it correctly. Rather than taking it to my local dealer I am considering going to Morecambe to have my first service and getting it sorted in one go! Would you recommend doing this or just tell my local dealer what the fix needs to be?

If you need a service and can get to Morecambe then that's a better idea just ask them to check for any updates and apply them.

If you was in the car at the time you would understand why. Don't go judging by a short bit of camera footage 👍 road works and stay in lane signs present

If you're travelling at 65mph the trucks shouldn't be under/overtaking anyway!

@@rustyjoints4857 there is a thing called stay in lane when in road works. So I stayed in my dedicated lane as part of the highway code

@@rustyjoints4857 In congested conditions vehicles on the left are allowed to pass the nearside of vehicles travelling at a slower vehicles and are traveling in the offside lanes. You can't expect a lorry to have to brake just because of middle lane hoggers.

@@RZOCUK that's perfectly fine. I couldn't figure out what Adrian was talking about. Isn't the limit for HGVs 60 or has that changed? Anyway, pleased you got the precon working, it's definitely a useful feature to have, especially in the rain as well!

Hello! Just a quick question - was this when you tried to trigger it from the app? Collected our new Zoe last week, cannot get the pre-conditioning to work either on or off the plug. It just says "Your air conditioning did not start. Please try again." Is this what you had?

Thanks! Why not demo the app to show us how to set up pre-conditioning? The only consolation about yet another Renault Zoe inadequacy is that reviews of the VW ID3 have even more software fails. Moral - don't be an early adopter. Miles per Kwh at 4.4 is pretty good for motorway driving at 9 degrees C. Let's see how it does mid-winter. My pre-heating always works - it's called a garage. And anyway, the ZE50 has a heat pump, unlike the previous model, so it's quick to heat up.

kjh789az Zoe’s have all had a heat pump from the 2013 launch version. And remote pre-conditioning, it just isn’t working properly on some ZE50s.

It didnt work before on ZE50 models the pre condition button on app or setting it on system would not allow it to work that's all. This is now fixed

I've had contact with my dealer and there is an update for the Multimediasystem (IVI) and the telecommunication unit (ICV) ready. Pre-conditioning for the system works but the app doesn't. Let's hope I'm able to use the app after the updates!

Yes works fine.. Make sure you have a good usb cable and android auto downloaded on phone

Make sure you don't have dual apps on any app. I had to disable it for WhatsApp i had a personal and work one... It doesn't work with dual apps currently on any car I think it's a bug

Beat you to it! Car in the garage for 55mins including a short test drive - 28th Sept. The re-programmed the 'whatever' - however - did they test it - hell no. Tried it at home - from the App and it works. Easy to tell - fans running at full power. In the car - unable to tell until I did a 'complete' cycle i.e. plugged in and charging for two hours before the programmed departure time. It does then run for another 10mins after disonnecting the power. The question is - does the 'Climate' program require the full two hours? Would be nice if there was some visual indication that it's running. If you open the car door you do get the pre=conditioning in progress banner on the dash - but the fan noise is minimal.

Just got back from our local Renault dealer who have failed for the second time to fix the pre-conditioning. Having to show the "technician" how to program the car did not instil confidence, and my expectations were realised. Escalated to Renault now whatever that means.....

Ok sorry to bring a downer to the party but in my opinion the ZOE is a seriously flawed car and quite possibly the worst car I have ever run. I rent this car through ONTO and have previously rented Model 3s and BMW i3s. I have had the Zoe for one month from new and I'm afraid its going back. Lets remember this is getting on for a 30 grand car. Rattles Creaks Leaks Dreadfully slow processor in the interface. A drivers seat that is incredibly uncomfortable, no height adjustment in a £30k car. No automatic cruise control. No centre arm rest Im swapping it for a used BMW i3 which is exquisite by comparison. Seriously save up for a little longer and don't buy this terrible car. Thanks for the vids

I’ve picked up my 70 Reg Zoe a couple of weeks ago, no rattle, known boot creak fixed, no leaks, User interface is fast (I also have a Audi S8 and the MMI interface isn’t no where near as smooth) As for cruise control the only thing you won’t have is radar guidance, aside from that lane departure and lane keep is standard on the GT Line And centre armrest....that’s an option, I got both that and the false floor. Sorry you didn’t like the car bud, but I wasn’t a fan of the i3 either due to it’s odd doors and smaller range. Regards.

@@RZOCUK Must've just got a bad one then, it didn't like charging up at some AC posts, preconditioning didn't work, doors leaked and rear lights got a lot of condensation.

@@joking8189 preconditioning fixed, AC charging issue will be the post not car Zoe likes to pull the max it can so unless it's safe it won't pull the power. Shame other cars are not as safe to protect car. Not heard of rear lights condensation issue. But saying that alot of plastic lights do it on many cars

@@RZOCUK I can't remember the huge installation of chargers at meadowhall was "unsafe", I'm not aware of any other cars having an issue there either, but am happy to be corrected if wrong 👍
