Thanks mate! This is exactly the kind of test I’m interested in when looking to buy an electric car. The range at 80km/h is totally irrelevant when needing something for daily high speed commuting.

Nice! This is what I needed. I'm getting an R110 in some weeks and I'm expecting 150km with full AC in heavy winter, just like Bjorn got. Now you only have to redo his test to confirm it :) I saw that throughout the journey the temp was about 21° which is almost perfect for an EV. Plus you didn't have AC on and the windows were up. Not exactly a torture test but this video shows you can do mid trips with a Zoe just nicely.

Well....i think this is a respectable end result for this type of car, especially when you keep in mind, that this car is made for city traffic in general. And when you consider, that you really pushed "her" and you could have gotten a little more distance with less speed....leaves no doubts in buying one ^^

I agree, I buyed one zoe 2 weeks ago and will receive it next week. I got the R110 ZE50 so I think I should get better range because of the weaker engine. I'm planning short trips 200km via highway (autobahn) and I think its a really good even for this trips with a normal speed with 120-130 :)

It's be nice to get some information on what causes reliability issues with public chargers, is it the design of the chargers themselves, is it something users do causing issues or is there some comparability issue with particular makes of eV that upset the chargers? Enjoyable video Chris 👍

Reminds me of driving my first car, a Citroen 2CV. Everytime speed reaches 110km an hour, we yelled: yeeeaah, 110!
@PNH7503 жыл бұрын
When I purchased my Zoe Z50 a month ago it would easily get the 120Km to London and back on a single charge. Now that winter has arrived the range has crashed. With a fully charged battery and running in Eco mode I can still just about make the same journey unless I have used the pre-conditioning and switched the heater on.

That is normal.

Really nice test.. I like how you do the videos, very informative! I do have a question: how the air conditioning is doing. On my ZOE 40 when is hot outside, the sun is heating the dashboard and the aircon simply can't handle the heat inside the car.. When I blow the speed to maximum it's not even cold air comming from the fan, just a little chill, but definetly not cold as it should.
@BatteryLife4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The AC is ok. But it is not amazingly strong. When the car is in the sun at 30 degrees all day. It takes very long to cool down,
@andreiyd4 жыл бұрын
@@BatteryLife thanks for the info. even yesterday I had a quite bad experience with the AC. I suspect that at 30 degrees the AC is cooling the battery and only leftover coole air comes into the cabin. It's simply better to drive with windows open, is that bad.

Wow! 125miles at 90mph is blooming good! I have a Zoe Iconic R135 Rapid Charge and was guesstimating 140 miles at 70mph (UK speed limit). Maybe I’ll get more! Thanks for a fascinating episode. I wonder how long Wesley’s walk was!?

It's interesting to see the absolute range of a battery pack, but a 'real world' scenario of running the car until the car hits ZERO is probably good enough for most people :)

Hi Chris, hope you well. I have a different question...collected my Zoe R135 GT Line anout 2 weeks ago...the problem is that I cannot go faster than 120 km ...its like the car has no power? it's great in the city traffic etc but on motorway I'm gaving trouble even overtaking other cars. Any ideas why ? TIA

That is weird. If you are not in Ecomode you should be able to drive 145 km/h.

I used the charge port opener button.
@squareeyz3 жыл бұрын
No you need to hold down the charge port opener button for 2+ seconds, then it releases. Many occasions where public charge points I have been to where the session either freezes, or says the CCS port is available even though it is still charging my Zoe, forcing me to untether the cable using the button.

@@squareeyz thats helpful as I had this happen to me at a CCS and I couldn’t unplug, luckily just restarted/stopped charger

😉 Cordialement

English version of my first comment : Hello, with the good climatic conditions of this test and without the air conditioning, 24kwh / 100km is not bad for an average speed of more than 130km / h ... This test contradicts many other tests announcing a poor efficiency of the Renault Zoe ... more than 200km of autonomy with a sustained speed of 145km / h speedometer is not bad. I wonder if finally a Tesla model 3 sr + would achieve this result at 145km / h, I think it will probably do less well. But I may be wrong. If it is possible to test (on the same course and with roughly the same conditions) to have a basis of comparison, it would not be bad. 😉 cordially

Je pense que la Tesla fera mieux le plus vite on conduit et que vous vous trompez de nouveau :-)
@samirazarzar62794 жыл бұрын
Tesla model 3 SR would make 250km at same speed, maybe 260km... because it has better Scx. At low speed(under 90km/h), it would have same range. 395km WLTP for Zoé against 409km for Tesla model 3.

I was really empressed with the first Zoë. Had it for one day. Range is not great butt oke. Lot of space for large people. It's extremely slow haha. Butt oke every body can drive a Zoë. Oké in comparison to my Smart is de "old" Zoë a huge step forward. You can drive really 150 kilometers. With my Smart around 100 kilometers and drive not faster then 50 km haha. Oké there are better options for an electric car then a Zoë. Butt is affordable spacious and the new Zoë hase a good range
