The effect is quite pretty, but having done many techniques of royal icing cookies for several years, I can't imagine what you'd have to charge to make the additional steps and effort required worth while. I love learning new ways to do my cookies, but for me, this product is just too labor intensive.

jlnriddick I do see your point... Personally, I did not find them labor intensive, but I am a cake decorator by trade and I'm used to working with fondant & gumpaste to make decorations. The SugarVeil lace is a lot like that. The most time consuming part was making the lace because of the waiting and timing, but you only need such a small piece for the cookie one sheet of lace could easily make a dozen (probably more). After letting the royal icing dry, each cookie probably took about 3 min to decorate (a little longer when trying to work around a camera) That being said, I just wanted to say thank you for the honest feedback. I'm a cake decorator by trade... I do not sell cookies, so I never considered what I would charge for these!

Nicolle Carrasquillo Yes, SugarVeil is very similar to fondant in workability. You probably couldn't get the lace to have holes, but your could very closely replicate this design with fondant :)
