This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. I don’t want the ruffle but appreciate the info on how to make. I like the idea of staples but would want to be able to wash it, so may consider attaching it with Velcro and just a few staples for security. Thx so much for sharing ❤️

Hi Andrea, I know that ruffles aren't for everyone but you can make this as a straight treatment or pleated skirt so that it matches your decor. Im really into vintage, and I have always loved how the old four poster beds had like a covering on top (have no clue what the correct term for it is) the actual canopy maybe?? Do you have a video on how to make something like that?

Hi siren electric, I think it's called a canopy too? Hmm... Unfortunately, I don't have a video for you because I don't own a bed like that (though I'd like to someday). What I DO have is a video on how to make a duvet cover. It's helpful to fit all those extra thick mattresses and even accommodates tucking in pillows underneath the duvet. I hope you can use it! The details are so finesse that I wish I could send you the fabric and measurements and have you do it for me, heh heh,,, Well I am going to take my time and try to do it. Suzanna Dorantes, Thank you for your kind words! I started sewing because I couldn't find the things that I wanted in my price range. The only way I could afford to furnish my home was by crafting things for myself. Now I make all of my own luxury items at a discount - you can too! My sewing machines have paid for themselves time over time. You will be amazed at how easily this is done. I think I paid $40.00 for that silk in the clearance rack. I want cookies!!! The ruffle is gorgeous! Years ago I made a bedspread for my full-size bed and it came out ok, I used a heavy material and it was so warm. But after washing it, it faded so bad. So if I ever decide to make another one what kind of fabric would you suggest?

Nancy, If you want something washable and easy to care for, I would stick with polyester. It hangs so beautifully and won't ever wrinkle. If you want cookies, I don't have a cookie video planned but I'm making cookies with my cousin next week so I'll sends pics instead. Thanks again, Renee 💋

Oh my gosh this is the video I’ve been looking for...I hv a poster bed and bed skirts just don’t work on it. I’ve ruined bed skirts bc I tried cutting it between the slats🤦‍♀️ Thanks for the video!🙏
