I was having a conversation with my mom about daycare a few weeks ago and she told me that my first daycare (1/2) was run by a bunch of people who (to my mom) didn't have kids. When they were trying to get the kids attention to change activities, they would flick the lights off and on (almost like a rave), I on the other hand didn't give a flying crap (being as stubborn as I am now) was off building Duplo or something. This conversation originally started because I went to an thrift store that opened up some time ago in this old building in my home town and it turns out that old building used to be that same daycare I went to. Somehow I knew something looked oddly familiar to me when I walked in those doors. Also you guys mentioned Smarties. I live in Alberta, Canada and the Smarties you guys are talking about are known as Rockets up here, our Smarties are like M&M's (but better).

12:29 I did something similar to this universal childhood mishap when I was little....not my own hair (I wasn't brave enough for that....still not lol) but a tiny dolly's hair, and let me tell you I wasn't just a few snips no no no, by the time I was done playing barber....that poor dolly was bald...and when I went to the kitchen to grab something to sweep up the pile of hair, my mother found out what I had done, and let's just say....she was NOT very impressed with my barber skills

I have barely the faintest of memories of my days in daycare... which isn't surprising when you remember it's easier to remember things between 3-4 than 3 alone. Only real memory I have is from when I got chicken pox and couldn't go to daycare and, weirdly, the only part of that I remember is seeing my mum leaving the daycare after explaining why I wasn't going that day... but I remember it as if I'd been looking down at the daycare from above. It's a confusing bit of memory but my parents both assured me it was accurate.

I went to two daycares as a kid and i got kicked out of the first one when i was like 5 or 6 for breaking a kids nose who was 4 or 5 years older than me for trying to touch me inappropriately then i broke his game boy advance when i gave him a black eye by hitting him in the face with it. No regrets
