I really liked this death battle and I didn’t expect you guys to watch it so I’m excited (Edit: I’ll also admit that I wanted carnage to win manly because I knew him and didn’t know Lucy. However when I saw the 4th stage of her hands I knew that would be the killing blow. So I’m not upset because now I’m actually a fan of the anime.

Yeah, it's one of the few DEATH BATTLE! match-ups where the combatants were actually very closely matched. A majority of match-ups only appear to be "even" based solely on general similarities - submitted and voted on by ScrewAttack site users without much, if any research done themselves - but once the research is underway before the animated battle (which so many people don't realize is not what decides the victor) and the post-battle analysis explains why the winner won, it tends to end up showing that the match-up was actually quite a stomp in favor of the winner (Godzilla vs. Gamera, Red/Charizard vs. Tai/Agumon, The Flash vs. Quicksilver, Mega Man vs. Astro Boy, Kratos vs. Spawn, to name a few).

John Dejesus Yeah Screwattack was outdated that time, obviously cause of multiple changing stories. After being empowered by the Darkhold, Carnage is no longer vulnerable to sonic attacks and his weakness towards heat was diminished.

And people ask why this was debunked so hard. Lucy is not a weakling, I'll even go as far to say she's a powerhouse, at least in her universe, though i wouldn't know since I don't care for Elfen Lied not do I plan to watch the anime or read the manga. Just doesn't interest me. Anyway, Lucy would not in a million years come close to killing Carnage, even if you nerf his speed and make it so that Lucy can tag him and hit him with her most powerful move, it would not kill him. The Gene Bomb is not a bio weapon, it's a flash fry which is completely different from bio weapons. It's a type that incinerates every living being in the area while doing no damage to the surrounding area. They even say that it's a Flash Fry in the book. Anywho, this was made to spread across the entire earth and kill every living being that did not carry the X Gene, non mutants basically. Carnage tanked this, was blown apart and managed to survive. Lucy wouldn't have come close to anything to that. Also, Carnage can easily get past the vectors, if a normal human could, I don't see how he wouldn't be able to. If they hadn't nerf him, he could have speed blitz her and slice her head off. One last thing, did they forget that when Lucy goes all out, she melts? She was clearly going all out and never melted once.

I just hate how they downplayed Carnage and made him lose because of a feat Lucy committed while she was under the influence of a drug and destroying a lab full of chemicals that ended up causing the majority of the explosion. As I said, Lucy is a powerhouse, in her universe. If she ended up in the Marvel Universe, or any other universe like DC, Jojo's, or Dragon Ball, she's getting slaughtered. Still though, I don't mean any disrespect.

Reasonably? Dude, this is the same research team they didn't listen to during Bowser Vs Ganon where they agreed Bowser would win, yet they change the result at the last minute. The problem i have, is they downplayed Carnage to the point where he was the weakest character in Marvel. Okay maybe not that bad, but they nerfed him hard. This episode of Death Battle is not the best, carnage can infect others with himself. He cuts her repeatedly, she should be infected by carnage.
