@sebastianemond531311 ай бұрын
I was just thinking of a possible rewrite idea they could've done for Origins: Wolverine; outside of not having it exist at all. Instead of Deadpool being the one Stryker was experimenting with and upgrading, *have it be Omega Red.* You could still feature Ryan Reynold's Wade Wilson at the beginning when they raid the village with the Adamantium, but include Arkady Rossovich in the strike team that Stryker had put together. Then later in the 70s, you could include how during the years Stryker had Sabertooth hunting down or capturing mutants, Stryker was working with the Russians to implant Rossovich with Carbonadium, the rare mineral that gives Omega Red his coiled tendrils, the same way Stryker tricked Wolverine into having Adamantium bonded with him, and thus, they'd have a weapon powerful enough to stop Logan if Weapon X failed. In the comics, Omega Red's power is to emit "Death Spores" which kill people, and can slow Logan's healing ability, so he'd be just as a match for Wolverine as... *groan* Deadpool is here.

The entire deadpool battle at the end had the early stages of the CGI animation of him teleporting and being decapitated, The animation had no colour and little detail.

my version of the story would be this: have the same killing dad scene and as there running it cuts to one year later to them being pickpockets in the streets having jimmies brother trying everything they can to survive even stealing from the poor while Jimmie still is innocent even when he killed his dad as his brothers pressuring him to be just like him as this is where the divide between them begins and a cut from there goes to them stealing and mugging people as victor kills people for there money and Jimmie is just pick pocketing just like he was as a kid until Jim and his brother get noticed by the law so much that sabertooth and jimmy are forced into conscription to fight in the civil war as that is a cover for all the crimes they did. so when they started fighting in the civil war jimmy felt the feeling of killing for the first time and it didn't feel good but he kept fighting along his brother as victor started to get exited with every battle as people they knew from training were killed left and right. but as the war ended they faked there deaths then went into hiding and kept running from the law as they entered the world war era where jimmy and victor conscripted with different names as they got grizzled throughout it experiencing suffering in the trenches and experiencing D-Day as victor is getting more blood thirsty with each world war as seeing people die left right and centre only fuelled the fire in his personality killing surrendered solders as he went through with cold blood and jimmy just watching in shock making him desensitised to horrible actions but it all came together when they were in Nam and they were attacking a viet Kong village as in the middle of the fighting victor enraged found a group of unarmed civilians. and was about to open fire when jimmy leaped in front of them shouting "NO BUBBY" but still enraged he still fires but as the bullets were about to hit, a napalm exploded in the middle of them knocking them both out as jimmy is found by the us military and sent to a hospital in Boston. the after reading his files they were going to arrest him for murder but striker came to him when he was in bed saying that he could save him and make him indestructible and if he refuses he would have a lifetime in jail. so he says yes to the options not knowing what is going to happen to him then have the scene where he gets adamantium bones and escapes with a stolen motorcycle and runs until he sees a blockade and his brother looking entirely different working for the people who tried to kill him when he had the procedure. then we see through his words that when jimmy was taken to Boston victor was captured by the viet kong fighting tooth and nail just to survive until strikers privet company wanted him to experiment on as he was there back up plan and as victor was just saved by them he said yes then was given a serum which changed his whole appearance and physical strength to be more like an animal as his claws were sharper as were his teeth and his hair changed blond and grew long like an feral lion as he is calling himself sabertooth. as they hand a stand off brother vs brother using there newly found abilities to battle and fight destroying a whole swab of forest. leading to an adamantium bomb being placed and exploding as the shrapnel piercing his skull as he heals getting lodged into his brain cutting off a lot of his memories exept the nickname his brother game him Logan and his brother bubby. as the company thinking he was killed as well as his brother turned to ashes. but when he wakes up sabertooth is nowhere to be seen as he wanders calling him self Logan looking for answers about his past and where he came from helping and trying to make a living.

No. Origins is far worse. DP is more bad for being the second botched attempt at the Phoenix Saga. If Last Stand didn't exist, DP would be seen as mediocre, it's only seen as so bad because it's the SECOND TIME.
@sebastianemond53133 ай бұрын
@northwindkey I don't hate The Last Stand as much as Dark Phoenix; if it had stuck to The Cure plotline rather than shoehorning Dark Phoenix into the other half of the movie, it wouldn't have been such a narrative mess. Outside of that, stuff like Kelsey Grammer as Beast, the ethical dilemas and discussions, the Golden Gate Bridge lifting, and the battle on Alcatraz were pretty damn cool. Only thing I wished they did was include Gambit in The Last Stand rather than in Origins: Wolverine.

The funny thing is, the line may have cringy, but the science behind it is actually accurate. If you damage certain parts of the brain it will destroy your memory. And no, a healing factor can't fix that. Memories are not physical things so even if the neurons in your brain grow back, memories will not. Truth is Logan should be basically a baby when he get's back up. No memories, not fighting training, no knowledge how to speak. It would be like hitting the reset button if the bullet hit the right spot.

I love parts of this movie. The scene with the task force was awesome I could have watched a whole movie of that group in a wartime. I like most of the fights, they're choreographed pretty good. The one scene with wade Wilson showed how he could pull off the character, leading to his portrayal of deadpool in the movies later Barakapool is cool, as long as it isn't deadpool. That character would be amazing if it was a separate character

The best & definitive live action portrayal of a comic book character (Sabretooth) came from the worst entry in a franchise, yes that's the x-men movies. Usually it's the portrayal within the best movie or the only portrayal of a character, but not in this case, I read that there were even thoughts on bringing back Liev Schreiber for Logan, I mean, if Ryan Reynolds can do it, he could've done it too, especially, since Liev was praised by some I guess

Recently, after rewatching both The Last Stand and Origins: Wolverine, I began to realize that Taylor Kitsch's Gambit could've worked... *had they introduced him in The Last Stand instead of Origins: Wolverine.* Kitsch was around the same age, one year apart, as Anna Paquin in The Last Stand when he started acting, he has that rebellious streak in *this* movie that in The Last Stand could've fit as a new student introduced during 'The Cure' plot line, and with how Bobby/Iceman was connecting more with Kitty Pryde, this would've given Rogue a chance to gain some confidence having Gambit as a new boyfriend who wants to be with her despite her life draining powers. And this could've made the alternate ending work with Rogue not taking the cure and accepting who she is, choosing for herself rather than just doing it for Bobby. I know people had somewhat hopes on Channing Tatum filling the shoes of Gambit before that idea was scrapped, but this is just my opinion on something that could've fixed The Last Stand a little bit. Unfortunately though, Kitsch had other choices of movies to be a part of, like The Craft with boys- I mean, The Covenant (2006). Comparing the two, with The Last Stand's 460.4 million and 57% vs The Covenant's 37.6 million and 4%, I think we can all agree which movie tried more to do its best. FOX really should've made a bigger offer he couldn't refuse.

It's weird what they did in this movie with Sabertooth. In the comics, Logan's back story as far as his dad goes, and the fact that he has a half brother, is accurate, but that half brother is not Victor Creed. His half brother's name is Dog (because Wolverine's biological father was a piece of shit) and he spent the rest of his life trying to hunt down and kill Wolverine in revenge for his Fathers death after Logan killed him the same way he did here, and the person who fled with him that night was his childhood friend and love interest Rose, who bears a strong resemblance to Jean Grey, but was never interested in Logan. They basically blended Dog and Sabertooth into one character, and it really didn't work.

Frankly, I enjoy this movie and think it works fine as long as you ignore a few things, like when it comes to Logan fighting the Deadpool clone (will get back to that later) to let his girlfriend escape with the kids, they don't get saved by Professor X, they just get away and we never see it. Simple as that. That the Scott in this movie isn't the one who joins the X-Men. He's just a random mutant who just happens to have similar powers and name as Cyclops. And, yes, it is proven mutants can have similar powers to others, so it isn't impossible that one could have the same powers as Cyclops and names are something you can easily share with others. And, due to infamy, relating to Deadpool in this movie, while we are indeed meeting the real Wade at the beginning of the movie when Logan is with Striker, the one he fights is a clone that was created from Wade's DNA after the original Deadpool went rogue in his sexy red spandex. And that's further proven when the real Deadpool goes back in time and kills the clone before the fight even started. It's been shown when Cable used his device to go back in his own personal timeline that he ends up in his past self's body, so I say that's what happened to Deadpool, meaning his past body and the clone's body were two different bodies altogether. As for why Sabertooth doesn't recognize Wolverine as his brother in the first X-men movie, I say it's because Striker eventually caught him and, while they weren't able to brainwash him, they were able to wipe his memories before he broke out, hence why he and Logan don't recognize each other as brothers when they fight in the first movie. Because from their perspectives, each is just a random mutant. And the end credits scene for this movie doesn't happen. Like I said, some scenes are ignored because, even though they're in the movie, they don't exist. That's how I enjoy Origins: Wolverine and feel it works fine.
@drakeware6553 жыл бұрын
I feel like a line that could, emphasis on "could", work better than, "Not if his memories don't heal," would be; Scientist: "You know you can't kill him." Stryker: "Worth a shot *cocks the gun*" I dunno. Would that work better, or would that still be cringy AF?

This movie had two of the weirdest and most unnecessary uses of VFX I've ever seen. After Logan discovers that Kayla is alive and goes on his knees, there's the shot where we pan from Kayla to Logan as he gets up, then he walks past her and leaves as the camera blurs him and focuses on Kayla again. The weird thing is that Hugh Jackman was green screened. Why? Was he not available that day? Did the director not know how to use the camera focus?? It seems like it because the other shot was when Logan was carrying Kayla into the sunset and then a CGI Magnum appears in the foreground while the background blurs. It seems like the director had no idea what he was doing when he filmed this and just said, we'll fix it in post.

The best part. The same writer who wrote this movie (David Benioff), wrote Game of Thrones. Atleast we have a reason for why the final two seasons sucked lol

BTW apparently the PS4 censorship on DMC5 got removed. Also, to be fair all western copies had some censored butts in the form of Lady. Butt yeah still stupid. At least you can mod that out on the PC version.
@Vasarcdus5 жыл бұрын
Nope. Played it on stream on pc on release day, the butts were uncensored.
@Mandalore085 жыл бұрын
@@Vasarcdus Huh. We are talking about that scene where Lady let's down a towel or blanket or whatever it was, right?

At least Danny Huston and Liev Schreiber would go on to be in better superhero movies.
