I feel this movie is gonna have some legs in time. It may not be amazing, but I feel it'll be remembered a lot better than most of it's ilk, for better or worse. Also like how Renfield just straight up joins mobsters near the end and how that does make sense that an organization that has little value of human life beyond their own in business would get him the particulars he needed. And yes, I agree the best stuff was at the start and the surprisingly creatively gore at times.

the ad for the "Pocket Champs" phone game is the most brilliant thing Mr. Movie Maker has ever done, by far. that's amazing. that's parody on a whole other level, because I'm assuming that crazy game footage had to be made by somebody. probably outsourced to a CGI channel like Doug Walker did for his _The Wall_ parody. really strong work, and REALLY strong parody because it's extremely believable. the best parody is almost indistinguishable from the real deal, and the reason this works so well is the channel is so famously caustic and cynical towards such things. and actually, speaking of which, I remember a while back Ralph The Movie Maker reviewed the Nostalgia Cricket's infamous _The Wall_ parody. and as he watched that disaster and cruelly laughed at it, Mr. Movie Maker paused the video during an embarrassing advertisement - I remember it was some service called "Honey" - and Ralph said he worried of some day becoming that. of becoming a shill personality like Doug Walker who will shills for crap like Honey™. or "Pocket Champs". and it's that history - this was YEARS ago - that gives Ralph's parody such weight (there's even a link)! like, how many years now of RTMM criticism that rips apart stuff exactly like that? there's even the ridiculous ad fronting the whole video Description? [Chef's Kiss.] this is next level stuff. this is advanced parody on a level I'm not sure I've actually seen before. _extremely_ strong work. that's amazing. Andy Kaufman would be proud.

Love the gulag set up and the cell mate character. Your thoughts on the film are also very on point.
