Going to surprise my mother on her 70th birthday with a 1968 VW Beetle. An old air cooled Bug is something she always wantedd but never got one since she sacrificed some of her wants to make her kids lives the best she could. Thing is with any 1970's or earlier car and especially a small one like a bug, they really lack in saftey needed on today's roads.We're not going to race ours. haha Definitely going to install a roll cage though because no matter how good of a driver we are, we can't control what others do on the road. What a cool birthday gift. A lot of people will recommend padding the bar around the head area. This will help prevent any head injurys if something does happen. Keep cruising and enjoy the ride 😎
