For 29 years I camped in the lot to your right at the start of this video. I’ve seen a lot there, marriages, divorces, crashes but overall some incredible aircraft. I was not able to attend what would have been my 30th and final year this year. And I’m fine with that as I would not have wanted to witness another crash. The races will continue…somewhere. They must.

well that was my first thing when I saw competition stol, why flaps and gas is different places. Then my next idea is that why flaps don't go to negative, like cross the stol line and push the plane down by changing flaps negative, a similar to passenger jets use spoilers but implement that with flap surface and this single lever. Or is it prohibited in stol competition rules?

I predict it will be in Wendover, Nevada (perfect terrain & geography, weather and airport runway facilities) but starting again in 2025. They are skipping 2024, 2025 is the next event, new location. Wendover is in the running.

I thought of it awhile back. I was going to put it in my Scratch build and still will. I actually thought Mike Patey was going to think of it and put it in Scrappy. I would assume it'll be the standard for competition and bush planes in the future. It's nice to see it works so well!
