I was at pylon 8 Sunday. It was pretty crazy with the three maydays, and seeing Jim Rust come flying past us on 18/36.

Ariana, you have some very nice video…..maybe you could add a little more vocals and explain what the different classes are all about. Talk about the different courses for the different classes and how many laps are raced and scored. You’re going to do fine. I worked at outer pylon 4 for 17 years…..up until the Covid cancellation. A certain number of photographers were escorted out and allowed to photo 1 or 2 races a few times during the week. This is where you’re going to get shots you can’t get anywhere else on the course. You’ll need to contact the appropriate personnel at RARA NOW, for next years event. I am not sure how the Hogue tragedy is going to affect the air race program. We’ve had several fatals over the years……Galloping Ghost in 2011 being the one that almost ended the annual event. This years G-lok incident may eliminate any civilian access to the pylon area. But if you’re serious about your channel, you should at least look into those resources. Again, very nice presentation.
