Kylie, you could have a sensitivity to dust and dust mites. It’s always best to wear a mask and googles over your eyes especially when you are working with clearing out old materials and unused cabinets & wardrobes. Just love how the office turned out so cozy, comfortable and it turned out to be a lovely creative office. I don’t know how you worked in such disorganization. I can see how it can squelch your creativity. I know you’ve had a very challenging year with your son and the birth of your son and everything going on in your home with so many huge projects going on. You have accomplished many big projects and climbed over such horrendous obstacles so be proud of yourself. In a big house like that there’s always something to renovate, improve, repair and decorate etc. You will know when it’s the right time to do something so then your heart will be in it and it will be that much more gratifying. 💝🌈🇨🇦 Love how your office turned out and your bathroom is looking beautiful. It’s nice to hear that you’re enjoying your beautiful pool even if your husband can’t join you. I started cringing when you start removing plaster not just paint I knew it was going to end up like that and that it would have to be replastered🫣but it would look really beautiful when it’s done. However, it’s another big delay. Maybe you could learn to plaster. I’m watching someone on KZbin a young woman who’s never done it before she had to learn to plaster all her rooms she had no other choice to renovate her old abandoned villa on Lake Como. She drew such beautiful murals on her plaster instead of painting it. It is absolutely beautiful what she has created.

If she wasn't in a constant state of exhaustion from only 2 hours of sleep per night, as she reminds us of that fact. Actually, I was thinking from my own experience sometimes it's worth hiring something if it means finally getting something done rather than live with the stress of an unfinished project for far too long. Guido has other priorities, you have yours so why wait for his help? That was resentment won't build up.

As always perfect videos, the office is beautiful, I think a big % of women do that, I use to be one. I am older now, plus I was run over by a truck and my life change after that, but I would ask my husband to do something in the house and if he didn’t show initiative i would do it myself. Paint, remove ugly popcorn ceiling, remove carpet and tile and when he got home he would help me I guess he felt he had no choice 😜🙄. Our children were small, so I understand your tiredness and frustration, plus when I want something done I can’t wait. Even after the accident I painted and move furniture, big mistake but I got the itch out of me. Thank you for your videos they transports me to an era that I would have love to live.

Kylie is a lovely traditional lady and we cannot judge as to what is “traditional” in one country may not be traditional in another. Where I am from, the man makes the home (the physical hard manly labour) and the wife does all the beautiful finishing touches. It is so difficult to keep your femininity intact when you have to do all the back breaking labour too. We can’t have it all in one person… Italian men may show more “love” and passion to a woman in a physical/verbal manner but lack that can do attitude the western man possess. We have to decide what kind of person is better for us. Kylie prefers the Italian way and we need to respect that.

My husband is like Guido, very hesitant and resistant to getting started but when it is done he loves it. He also makes suggestions that seem to involve more work for me😂. Over the summer we changed the floor in 75 percent of the ground floor, refinished the oak ceiling beams, refurbished the kitchen, lots of replastering and of course it all needed decorating. Unfortunately my husband has been ill so the organisation and decorating fell to me. As I was finishing he said don't you think that cabinet looks a little shabby, so another project for me. One of my new discoveries was reframing artworks which have transformed the look of art we aIready owned. I bought a picture framing clamp and found acompany that mitre cuts the frame of your choice so you justhave to glueand clamp - so easy and transformational- a lot of the frames are from Italy. I also love Ortigia. I have Fico d'India but have been toying with trying another scent so will take your recommendation for Zagara. I like the scented crystals.

I can relate to your obsession with the candles & the scent that takes you back to a place & time. Mine is also Italian, the Potpourri scent from Santa Maria Novella. I stayed in Tuscany for part of a summer tutoring the child of an American family who owned a villa. The entire place was filled with huge bowls of the potpourri with that scent (also called Potpourri) & all I have to do is get a whiff of that & I'm back there. Nothing is as evocative as scent. I too love interior renovation/decorating, I adore thunderstorms, I tend to just drop things in places & make a mess (the "before" of your office looks like my craft room & my costume room & my guestroom & ...), and I prefer my clothes hanging up & hate digging through drawers. However---I do store my knits in drawers but rolled, not folded, so I can see everything at one time. But I also love to garden, vegetables & roses for me, so I can relate to Guido's interests too! I wonder which Giancarlo will like more, or perhaps he will have a passion for fixing up cars or machinery, who knows?

I'm a visual person, so if my clothes are hanging I will wear them. If something is in a drawer it gets forgotten! Love the thunder and rain. I long for a thunder storm but only if nothing gets damaged. I know those candles and they are scrumptious. Just think of your fantastic level of living when all is done. (Are we ever really done?)

I take it one step further, color arrange from white to black…makes choosing and locating clothing much easier.

I was wondering how Kylie arranged her clothing too....Wondered if the items that went into boxes/bins were sorted by color, by season, by occasion?

Omg I feel exactly the same. My husband is like Guido and I’m like you. It is frustrating when you can’t do everything yourself and I sometimes have a hard time not getting upset with my hubby, but I guess we all are different 😂

This is perhaps my favorite of all your videos, Kylie- Music, some cooking, renovations, the views out your windows, your warm conversation....I'm always inspired by how much you accomplish, truly amazing! Your cinematography elevates even mundane tasks as home into an art form I love to watch. Your beauty, inside and out, shines so brightly here. Thanks for sharing all this with us, what a joy and a real treat!

like like like like!! oh my gosh my husband and I are the same when it comes to decorating. I used to be so annoyed that I couldn't even get his opinion on a carpet and now I think it's pretty good as I get to choose everything and our house and garden is pretty much my creation. I also have to put in the hard work and he loves it once it's done.

Thank you Kylie, your passion for life is infectious. I now have on order some liquid soap! I adore your videos. I rewind and rewatch little bits so I can take in all the beauty and all the fine details. I never want them to end. Never have I ever sat down and just watched your videos. It takes time to get my fire going, turn off the lights, light my candles, pour a glass of wine and settle down on my sofa in 38:32 anticipation of what is to come. It must take so much time to collate everything together and I love and appreciate your dedication and commitment. X
