Came looking for this comment. It can be really bad, as I learned as a pup around 1997. Silica dust can thunderfook your lungs! It only lakes once to learn, but the damage from once can be pretty detrimental to your health.
@harlenc17764 жыл бұрын
Exactly, plug in the hose and wear a mask. Better for the saw blade too. A few extra minutes are easily worth the health benefits.
@TheFlatlander4404 жыл бұрын
Breathing in silica dust can be very detrimental to your health. It may not bother you now, but down the road a few years you will suffer from it. Should have been watering the concrete down with a hose as you cut to reduce the dust and keeps the blade cool. Respirators, face shields and safety glasses would have been a good idea. Too late for that now though.

@cleric6704 жыл бұрын
Damn look at Cleeter go inhaling the silicosis dust from that saw cut. There's a water hose bib on the back of those things for a reason, sometimes you really should leave the work to the professionals. OSHA required silicosis management effective June 23, 2018. The OSHA fine for violations is an absolutely STAGGERING $50k.

You sound like a paving guy and trust me I feel your pain watching that. That’s gonna be one hell of a bumpy ride and towards the end I saw them overlaying some asphalt the was alligator and unfortunately asphalt won’t bridge most of the time unless your using a paving fabric or a permaflex first then top coat , but everything they paved will start to fail pretty quick most likely. I would’ve ate the extra asphalt and took it out all the way to the stone just to get it right if my name was gonna be on it . Every race track I have re surfaced or built from scratch was a continuous pull also , wants you start paving you can’t stop tell you get to the end , I was at least happy to see a nine tire on it cause it seems like most paving guys don’t use them as much for some reason. But I don’t wanna beat up on the guy to bad because I’m sure he is trying his best.

@@markt8266 yeah, still unfortunate. imagine if an actual badass company was in there paving with a big CAT paver or even a newer paver.
