Very helpful of you to make this video Jess. Lots of useful tips. If you want a good solution to soft lighting in your bathroom, I bought a battery operated light off Amazon for mine and it works a treat. It was Auraglow wireless P.I.R motion sensor lamp, only costs £11.99 and the batteries last for ages, only need changing about twice a year. I've had mine for over 3 years and it is still working fine. I love that I can just sleep walk into the bathroom and see where I'm going without having to fumble around looking for the light switch. Guests have commented on it too and asked where I got it from.

Thanks so much for this!! I ordered a diff brand a while back and it kept falling off the underside of the shelf so I will give your suggestion a go! Thank you so much!

@@Jessroseparr - My one isn't hidden. It's more like a small lamp and it sits on a glass shelf above my toilet next to my perfumes. It's not very big and looks quite modern so I don't mind that I can see it.

Thank you very much. I really enjoy this video. I'm renovating my house as well. Is the 1,20 metre shower screen sufficient to prevent splashing? 🧡🧡

Love this video and all the tips! Our kitchen is such a similar style and we went for a more dramatic vein in the quartz and so pleased! We didn’t put the hob on the island purely as we have young children and it’s their place to play/ draw and socialise. Keep up this content it’s fab! X

Really enjoyed this video jess! Currently going through a (never ending) Reno and you're making me seriously consider a hot water tap! Wasn't a priority but hearing people that have one rave about it is making me doubt not getting one 😬 The hidden fridge and utility space in your kitchen are really genius, such a great use of that corner!

Brilliant. Loved this vid. Confirmed a couple of my choices that I was debating such as underfloor heating. Great tips of shower screen and job on island. If even go as as far as recessing it slightly lower and making a cover for it…if possible.

Hi Jess, thank you for this video. I was wondering, is underfloor heating more expensive to run than normal radiators?
@Jessroseparr
@Jessroseparr 2 жыл бұрын
hi! no its not at all. it's actually cheaper to run because we keep it on a lower heat than our regular radiator temperature but have it running for a more constant amount of time. so yes def def def worth the investment!

Thank u Jess for the video and the tips. Regarding the pocket door kit, can I ask which one u went for? I will be shortly starting my own loft conversion journey and opted for pocket door instead of hinged door. I am the one to source to the loft company for them to fit. I would really appreciate any tips on the ones I should be considering. Eg which brands are best.
@Jessroseparr
@Jessroseparr 2 жыл бұрын
so we went for the a regular b&q internal door. its just a 762cm wide door and you could literally go for any of them because the most important thing is the frame. so we had our builders build the frame themselves so im so sorry I cant recommend some brand in particular but your loft company should be able to help in that department? I was just thinking because you could do any kind of door because it just has to be hung on the track, you could go or a really cool vintage door or paint it a really fun colour too! :D

Hello, can I ask what size water softner you bought? We are a house of two as well and the sound of topping up the salt only every 4-6 months sounds ideal. Plus, we were quoted £1k elsewhere so £500 sounds dreamy.
@Jessroseparr
@Jessroseparr 2 жыл бұрын
its the ws 355 www.bwtshop.co.uk/product/luxury-water-softeners/?gclid=CjwKCAjwwL6aBhBlEiwADycBIJ0YC2nI5e_l1pNSAcBkakKIfR9tjxVeQyEF82ClP_lAy3dkq7NgwBoCjEwQAvD_BwE ive also just seen on site for £955 it includes installation. Our kit was 500 but our plumber installed it as part of his final quote so I hadn't factored in installation as that was included in the rest of the houses work so £1K sounds about right if it includes install xx

Hiya! Love how it al turned out Wanted to ask, was your architect expensive? Would you recommend having one involved? And did they assist during the build or just at the start for technical drawings and design etc? Kind regards x
@Jessroseparr
@Jessroseparr 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Yes an architect is the best money you can spend at the beginning of your reno. They will help you work with every single square inch of the space. Packages can range from between £1k-£7k depending on work you want done. I would always recommend someone nearby who can visit your property to get a good look around the space as opposed to just working off dimensions and floor plans. It’s also good to get an architect and structural engineer who work together so they can discuss and not have you as the middle person passing on info and also have them put in touch with builder too so they can all communicate. There was a lot of back and forth between us with ours because we sourced them all separately to try and keep costs down and it didn’t really save any money in the end.

@@Jessroseparr thank you so much for the detailed response! I’m talking to a few different architects at the moment and am sure that I need one, and would like one just choosing the right one for my geography and budget. What you’ve said honestly helps a lot! Thanks so much again
