We take nothing with us when we crossover and it’s not like we start where we left off next lifetime. We spend the majority of our lives storing up treasures and paying off a mortgage on home that we will never own. It’s crazy that each generation is forced to start from scratch. Then we risk losing our belongings or home in some disaster and there is no guarantee that insurance will cover it. We really do not even live long enough to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Rent has more than doubled in Tennessee, USA since Covid and there is an affordable housing shortage. Homelessness is growing and I know people who are sleeping in their vehicles. I believe the "rent vs. own" debate in Canada and the U.S. is a false dichotomy. Dedicating your entire life to paying off a 30-year mortgage for a house that might not even be fully yours by the end of it seems questionable-especially when you can't take it with you. An alternative could be building a cabin on affordable, vacant land where you don’t have to pay utilities, house insurance, rent, or a mortgage. You might only need a remote job one or two days a week or a part-time job in town to cover basic expenses. Another option could be living in an RV or trailer, which can be purchased cheaply, with minimal costs for parking and utility hookups. Or consider relocating somewhere like Brazil, where rent is cheaper, and you could work a simpler online or part-time job. This approach prioritizes free time and personal freedom over the endless grind of a system that promises rewards if you just keep your head down and focus on paying off a mortgage.

I am so lucky that I’ve always owned my own home since I was 23, bought a big house with my brother and rented rooms to our friends so each of us paid 350 each for the mortgage.. fast forward to now.. I own a small fully renovated house with a detached garage and beautiful yard. No mortgage! If I had screwed around with my money this whole time I would be in a run down rented condo with a creepy landlord 😂 No matter what.. I believe owning is still the best option for people who are willing to stay in that home for more than 5 years.. if you sell before that then you will not make money on it. Sadly I believe people have their priorities all wrong.. they cry about not owning but they still go a buy $10 coffees, eat out and buy materialistic crap! I think a lot of people could be paying off their own home rather than someone else’s, if they were smarter with their money. I know people who don’t own a home but pay 1000 a month for their fancy car! Make that make sense? 😂
@RedPillOption18 сағат бұрын
Yes but you bought the house when it was affordable to purchase because now forget about it even if you cut down the "$10.00" coffee etc and were as you put it, smarter with their money, it's still next to impossible to own a house in today's market. Though I do agree people do spend ridiculous amounts of money on nonsense. Also, you still have to pay property tax which means you don't really own your home because if you don't pay that, they could theoretically take your house.

It's always great to hear that there's people that already know, early on, what to do. However, some people end up with the wrong partner that doesn't take anything seriously and actually works against you. I was 17 when I met my husband. Been together 37 years and ain't got crap! In my 20s I'd tell my husband...we better buy a house so we don't end up homeless and we can leave it to our son and daughter! His response always...Why do you keep bitching? We have plenty of time, blah blah blah!🙄 Well, looks like I was right after all! I know you can't "own" anything in a slave realm but you know what I mean. Hard to do, on your own with 2 children. Yes some people have, I know that. 'Love' ruined my life! Thank you 🕊

@@RedPillOption I agree! In today’s market it’s insane. Nick, when I was a kid I thought this life is was amazing. With each year that went on as I got older the wool slipped of my eyes and I was about to see this matrix for what it is. Parents need to teach child from the min they are born about this capitalist society that we are forced into. The goal is to make as much money as possible to live a good life and unless one is born in a wealthy family the children are going into wage slavery. What I don’t understand is if parents already know how difficult life is why on earth would you bring other conscious being here to subject then to work and suffer? It’s almost like people like us know what’s going on and the other people in society don’t even see that they are in a matrix.

The financial crisis in my country started when russia went to ukraine and the interest rates went from 0 to +4%. This added +600€ monthly to my housing costs and all the other costs grocery, gas etc. went up from 2022 onwards. I lost job again at 2023 and started working as an entrepreneur from the beginning of 2024. Every month i am thinking how will i get through this month. Im 38. Had no money problems from 25-37, did not have to stress too much about money. I worked from construction businesses since 2011 and a lot of large construction companies have gone bankrupt in my country from 2022 onwards. Never thought i would be basically broke at 38. Trying to sell my house currently, because the economy is fucked it is hard to sell at decent price. I would go rent immediately if i get my house sold. I live in what is considered a "solid" country in europe and the middle class is kind of fucked at this point. If the russia ukraine war stops somehow the economy would get at least some boost, but not before that. If you are ready to live in shitty/decent house by renting that is the go to in my opinion. I have had 3 rented house and 2 mortage house. Renting sucks, but there will come no suprises and you can invest the extra money if you can afford.

At a fundamental level, the very basis of our existence relies this sinister truth and theres nothing anyone can do to change it. When you factor in how old this planet is...well you can imagine the cycle of pain and horror. People dont understand crap about this place and what it means to exist and to be human!
