Small tip for the jeans on hangers Emma: I use those same hangers, which I really do not like, but use small pieces of foam under the clips, which most of the time, eliminates those pesky bumps! Not great to look at, but it saves time on steaming/ironing. In the meantime for your belts, you can use an 'S shaped' hook to hang on the rail....one of those that you generally use in the kitchen to hang pots and pans from. They are dead handy in the wardrobe. The renovation on the doors and interior of the wardrobes look super, by the way.

@@shiningstar7775 People can 'offer' advice but one is not obliged to take it. If Emma prefers to hang up her jeans in the wardrobe, then that is her choice. I think she is big enough to make her own decisions. Marie Kondo is not for everyone. Thank God we are all different; that is what makes the world go round!

It's a clear observation that year after year the same issue crops up.... the jeans... and year after year viewers on an 'open forum' think why doesn't she just fold them..... And you're right she doesn't have to take any advice. At the end of the day Emma has made a decision for herself which I suspect is more linked to aesthetic than practicality and it's hysterical to watch at least from my POV, so much so that this is probably the only video of hers I watch each year to see if the saga with the jeans continues.... I love smaller closets. It helps keep you organized. I’m American and chose to build a smaller wardrobe in my home, which is not the norm for this country. My clothes are set up much like yours and I get a kick out of other women making comments on how they couldn’t have such a small space but yet their style is usually not on point. Lots of clothes means chaos in your life and dress game, in my opinion. I LOVE YOUR STYLE!!! You are one of two influencer style icons of mine. I live for the minimalist design and I would just open those closet doors twenty times a day just for satisfaction. Lol

"Not the norm for this country"; I think that depends on which part you live in. I'm from the States and I never had anything but tiny closets (smaller than hers, half the size) my whole life. That's the norm for me and a lot of other Americans. But then again, if I had a bigger closet, it would be terribly empty! 😂

I should have phrased it in some parts of the US but being that I am so accustomed to closets the size of rooms in homes in a number of suburbia and rural America, I generalized. My closet which is shared with my hubby is approximately 9x6 and considered small. Lol. I have a friend in FL who will not allow her spouse to share her 12x12 master closet. I too, lived in Europe for a short time and had wardrobes much like Emma which were sufficient for me.

This is actually a really good way of keeping an audit of what's in your wardrobe. I love the idea of arranging by season and not just colour. It makes it so much easier getting dressed.

So gorgeous!!! 😱👏😍 The only thing I would change in the finished result is to have the top layer of jeans going from dark to light so that when it meets the lighter scarves it's a bit more seamless (or have the scarves go from dark to light, but don't think that would flow well with the dark jeans underneath). But loving the new dark colour of the wardrobes, it gives them such a luxurious feel! 🥰

Clip hangers/Jeans... lay your jeans flat, then put the clip hanger on the waist (as normal), then turn the jeans over and clip the hem of the right leg to the right clip (with the waist)... same for the left... voliá They won’t need steaming when you get them out AND they hang flatter (more per rail) PLUS visibility is better when hanging. Liked the refit process!

Wow what a great job. And, not what you want to hear, but I bet you could easily halve the items without an appreciable impact on your outfit choices. Half the light wash jeans, half the dark wash jeans, half the blazers and you would still have many in each color/ style to select from. I suffer from keeping too many clothes because of the storage area, but keep trying to be more stringent on purging. So it's not intended as a criticism - I'm sure you wear all of your clothes. But it just makes the path to a significant purge challenge so clear. I LOVE the color and can't wait to see it complete with the shoes. Well done!!

Ann Littlejohn it’s not that I don’t want to hear it, this wardrobe is probably less than half of what it was 4 years ago. I just like to have options, and I don’t find that it hinders my outfits at all, it aids them. Not everyone works the same way, this is just how I work 😊❤️

For trousers I find using hangers with wood clamps prevents creases. Because unlike the clips, the clamps have felt lining and you can clamp the trousers below the fold.

Get thin packing foam cut strips place over the the jeans then the clips, should not imprint on jeans, that is what designer shops sometimes do, it does work 👍x

One question; where do you put your dresses, as few as they are? And secondly; thanks! Following your two wardrobe vidéos, I did an extensive reorganising of my room and dressing/ boudoir closets. First, I stored all my summer stuff in storage boxes, I did a pile to sell on VC and another pile to give. Now it's all beautiful and well hanged and I can assess all my clothes and I'll do plenty of new outfits! Great!🙏👍🌞😉

Most dresses will go into storage for the AW seasons, I may keep one or two out if I am planning on any weddings or somewhere I may need to wear a dress but aside from that they are in storage until SS season comes back around ❤️

Watching this on my lunch break. Seeing all the organisation and colour coordination is super calming haha. I want to go and buy more clip hangers to use your scarf idea. I love it! I used your idea with the accessories on my old free standing wardrobe. Oh it made life so much easier. I did used to have a mirror on the door but I don't think I am going to put another on there as I am getting a new one (or two) for the walls in the bedroom. I have jewellery organisers for my jewellery that I need to find a space for but that will be done once the bedroom decorating is finished 👍

Wardrobe hack: I use children’s hangers to hang my pants. That fixes the problem of them hanging so low.
