Welcome to our new series of vlogs where we will be renovating our early 1960's converted bungalow in the beautiful Kent countryside. This renovation will involve a lot of #DIY as we do like to get stuck in however we are not professionals in any way so these are not tutorials 😂. From experience renovating previous properties we know that we learn from our mistakes and pick up new tips, tricks and skills along the way. This is not going to be a quick turn around, we'll be doing this over the course of the next few years so thank you for coming along for the journey, hopefully we'll still have all our limbs, fingers and toes intact by the end of it 🤞🏼

ADVERTISING
As content creation is our business and how we earn our living you will see advertising in our content from time to time in different forms:
We are very selective about what brands we work with on paid/sponsored content creation and as a rule we don't work with any brand that we don't already or wouldn't spend our own money on. We are incredibly proud of all our brand partnership content and it will always be disclaimed in the most transparent way possible so you know exactly what is and 'AD'.
Because we don't work with a large amount of brands on sponsored content we do rely on our KZbin ad revenue. Any adverts you watch during the duration of our videos will earn us a small percentage of 'ad revenue' from KZbin and we really appreciate you watching the adverts in full (and not skipping them), but only if and when you can. We also know that time is precious so no pressure.
We also use 'Affiliate Links' in the description boxes below our videos and if you make a purchase via these links we will earn a small percentage of commission depending on the sale amount. Not all links are affiliate links but just assume they are
Any items/links marked with '[AD - Pr products]' are products which have been 'gifted' from the respective brands without a contract for sponsored content. This is still classed as a form of advertising because nothing is ever "free", brands are gaining exposure to our audience by us featuring them, so these items are marked as 'AD' but we are under no obligation to feature these items. And as with our paid content, we never accept gifting/pr products from brands that we don't already or wouldn't spend our money on. If we have received a press discount on anything featured this will also be disclaimed.

I was expecting the bags to be on display but then again having them inside the cupboards makes it more aesthetically pleasing ☺️ my OCD is very pleased with this reveal LOL awesome job as always Emma and Simon 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

I would keep the bags in the cupboard to protect them from the light but do they have to be in the dustbags too? It would be nice to at least be able to see them when you open the cupboard.

What a treat to watch this video in the morning. Your wardrobe is so aesthetically pleasing and has very calm and relaxing vibes… so so good. I already made a mental list how to update ( and for first time actually organize) my own wardrobe while watching last week’s video but now it’s decided to start this project. Thank you so much for sharing your process! Also many many bonus points for Simon for crawling into that tiny wall storage space and putting away your things 😁😁😁, well played Emma!

Wow, the walk-in closet looks so great. you must be excited that its finished. Possibly, think about placing a clear film on the window that blocks UV light, I think its the UV that bleaches clothes. That way, its less worry about clothes fading and you don't have to keep the blind closed all the time (except for filming videos)

It's looking amazing! I've found the cedar wood balls/disks have worked well for moths, and I've moved to an open wardrobe so it's not as dark (apparently moths like dark!) and also helps air circulate. I read that going through and gently 'shaking' the clothes /hangers monthly or so helps disturb any that might be there and that seems to have helped. I see dead moths every now and then but so far not found any major holes!

Love wardrobe organization! 😍 Yours look beautiful! In Scandinavia the preference is always to store all outerwear related clothes and accessories in the hallway area, even when the hallway is small 🐰 Coats, jackets, hats, scraves, gloves, shoes (except dressy shoes). Everything we manage to fit. Either in a seperate wardrobe, open hooks for coats/jackets, open shoe shelving, drawers or similar. It seems like such a faff (and dirty with shoes) to have it elsewhere! 😅 Really interesting to see subtle differences in preference and customs across borders 😯☺️

Wow! I've been waiting for this for weeks, maybe even months since you and Simon mentioned what the space would eventually be, and I'm super impressed! I love how the entire hack turned out and how each category has it's own separate space! I can't wait to use this as inspiration in my own tiny alcove turned walk in wardrobe! I didn't think you'd put your bags behind closed doors, but now I'm considering that as well. Being that they're mostly invest pieces, they probably should be kept in their dust bags and not gathering dust and sunlight. I can't wait to see the finishing few touches once the few pieces come in. Bravo! You just made my week! 🧡👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Looks brilliant Emma!! So pleasing that everything fits in just so! I know if that was me, there would be bits hodge podge where they don't fit! I would also 100% trip over the seat/poof every single day! I hope the space is as pleasing use as it looks! I look forward to seeing what you do with the future shoe storage!! x

Love your new wardrobe! Hopefully the missing drawers won't be too long in coming! You're so good at padding your bags out and putting them in dust bags! We have pax as a walk in wardrobe too, about 15 years old and still going strong! I'm a great fan of wooden hangers too, it's a deliberate choice not to have space saving hangers - when (not if) space gets tight, it's time to have a clear out! Although I could do with some velvet ones, for those tops etc that easily slip off.

It looks really nice! Those moths cedar rings work quite well - but you should save the knitwear in the drawers, too. Since cedar wood oil can make stains, i bought moth-paper in the drug store and put it on the inner top of the drawer shelves (i hope this is an english sentence, I'm from Germany). And, don't you need a mirror? Your room looks beautiful, really calming atmosphere

Hi Emma. What a dream! I’d love to have a dressing room but I’m not complaining!I’m pretty organised and it really helps with decision making. In Greece,we have pretty defined seasons so storage boxes come in really hand, although my coat collection has a permanent place.I do put a long protective cover on each of them though as I get scared of the moths coming to call! You’ve done a brilliant job and enjoy your new space! 🥰
