Nice setup man. I recently picked up a weighted pull up belt. Attach a kettlebell to it and try to get sets of 3-5 reps. I wish I started doing them years ago. You should give it a shot, I got my belt from Rep too.

Sounds good! I was eyeing that belt with a chain, I have the adjustable kettlebell from REP I’m about to unbox!! So I hope to do weighted pull-ups soon!

So mounting right to the studs is going to support the weight?. I just get nervous with that.

Ya I get nervous too, it’s the easiest assembly with the design of the support beam being in the way of one of the holes. But theoretically as long as you mount it to studs correctly, they will hold the weight 100%, as long as it is a stable structure. I sold this, because I ended up getting other equipment (I.e. squat rack) that had a pull up bar.

I've the same design pull up bar (different brand) it has knurling and it's brutal! Tore my hands right up so now I wear gloves. That said it's a tough sob that'll last me years

For sure, I enjoy working out in gloves, helps focus more on the exercise and less a test of grip strength. I enjoy the powder coat on this one, and having the multiple grip options is nice!
