Notice the difference in events during their visit. Lake only wanted what was easy. So she flew out to Shiprock, for their NN parade, where she'd receive the largest press and visibility. On the other hand there's Gallegos. He does what is HARD. He already has supporters on the NN and larger reservations, due to his work in AZ. But the Havasupai is small and Supai is extremely isolated and recently got torn up during monsoon rain and flooding. This wasn't just a campaign stop. He's STILL doing his job for all Arizonans. He hiked his way into Supai. Lake would never do anything that made her sweat on camera.

I have lived in Tucson for 54 years, a moderate Democrat, and will vote for Ruben. But let be honest here; Kari Lake said the most authentic thing when she said neither Party have helped the indigenous people of Arizona. If they had at least one of their issues would have been resolved in the past two decades. They still have water rights issue with the Colorado River Pact, still have uncleared uranium mines, opioid crisis higher than other communities through predatory dispensing, and many other unresolved issues. I am sorry to say that although I generally liked John McCain, he was not the friend of the indigenous people. We need leaders that will really make positive changes for our neighbors, even if we have to fulfill our promises to them and have less. Honor matters in death.
