For a bun for dolls hair I find this really easy if u try this method: First grab the dolls hair that u want in the bun Second pull it up Third put a long pipe cleaner a little bit below the tips Fourth roll it down Then grab the two end of the pipe cleaner and tie them together Cut off the excess pipe cleaner And use the bun hair to hide the knot/tie of the hair Plz like so DollightFull can see this please!!! This is a great idea! I’ve always known this sort of thing as a sock bun or bun donut method on humans so a pipe cleaner would work perfectly!

I don't know if this will help, or if it's been suggested before, but I have bangs and I noticed my hairdresser trims them upward - pointing the scissors at the ceiling. I'm a cosplayer so I tried this on cosplay synthetic wigs and it works there too - I chop the bangs well below my nose and slowly work upward with the scissors pointing straight up. It might be worth trying? It helps me get a natural, fluffy fringe - not too blunt a cut and it helps hide any bits I got a bit scissor-happy on! Also I love this video, I think the Shoppies are so cute

You could glue hair around a small Styrofoam ball! Cut the bit of hair on the top of her head into a stump and coat it in glue so it becomes a solid base to glue the bun. There are tutorials out there for doing this for cosplay wigs, but there's no reason why it couldn't work for a doll!! This way you'd get that perfectly round little bun.
