Repair broken air compressor

Air compressor repair of damaged Reed valves which prevented reaching max pressure. This could pose a big problem if the compressor was to be left on overnight the compressor would not reach shut off pressure and just keep running until it over heated. Hopefully the thermal switch would do it's job and cut off the power to the motor.

lol, wish i would have watched this before i made mine. it took prob a half hr before i picked .11 great video. will help others that can't wait a cpl days. i ordered some but was in the middle of a job and needed mine. 7 bucks on amazon with head gasket. Thanks for a great video.

I ran into the same. I ordered a new pair of reeds on Amazon for $13. That was a great idea you had but I’ll replace both with new while it is apart. Found the compressor beside the road and it’s fine otherwise.

My 'Shop Force' compressor, which is probably made in the same factory in China did the exact same thing. I'm not sure how to keep it from getting hot unless it needs a better fan blowing air over the cooling fins.
