Repair Cafes

A repair cafe is a community event where repair coaches (volunteers) help teach participants how to fix their broken items. Instead of throwing them away, participants can bring items to a repair cafe event and learn how to fix them, making it a fun and educational experience that is free of charge. Anybody interested in sharing repair knowledge can become a volunteer repair coach- handing down repair skills to the community and the next generation.
Repair helps to:

• Reduce the amount of trash that ends up in landfills

• Extend the life of belongings
• Minimize the damage caused by gathering raw materials
