Great video guys. Back orders are the bane of life. In the military we used to have aircraft that were used to keep other aircraft serviceable. We would take parts off them to keep others flying. They would sit in the Hanger until all the parts were available. We used to call these aircraft Christmas trees.

Hi Rob and Chris, that dozer equipment was worth every penny, makes life easier for Chris, once he adds his bodywork skills that's it 100% done..!! Going to be a very nice little car this Renault, and a great buy..Alex.

@@stu9070 my point exactly mate pay for the job to be done of rob and Chris and help each other out content wise I know they don’t base there work around content respect that but I think it would be a doddle for Chris and I think Dean (saving salvage) would pay the price for it to be a documented process etc just a suggestion

It's no wonder even next to new cars get written off for even minor damage when you see how much effort is involved in the rebuild and then think of the labour costs. I really enjoyed this video and learned a lot - that's going to be a cracking car when it's done!

It’s always fascinating to see Chris’ skills and experience pulling and straightening chassis / bodywork, especially when there isn’t any reference on the side of the car. Loved the time lapse footage you shot there. Great teamwork again, very enjoyable 👍

It is an absolute pleasure watching you two at work. It shows the accuracy to which new cars are made these days, but Chris’s eye when using the jig and dozer is born of pure experience. New cars like this should not be written off, but with lights at £1k a pop, no wonder I suppose. This will be a superb motor indistinguishable from new when its is finished 👍🇬🇧😎

Top tip, use a safety wire on the chain/clamp when pulling, it simply loops through the chain and around a part of the vehicle to arrest the chain flying off in the event of a clamp failure. From an ex Blacvkhawk demonstrator. 😉👍

Rob and Chris are brilliant, i used to follow saving salvage, but he ended up buying cars for too much money just for content, and the hardest part using a jig is getting the car on and off, and as Chris said it pays to keep it on there till your happy, which you can't do with other people's car as it is time and money,

You have to like you two; Working with a person is one thing but working in harmony with skill and good nature is quite another. PLenty of joint admiration and patience makes for a brilliant vlog. At first you come across as a couple of East End ' Jack the Lads ', but you soon show you are very skilled mechanics. You also don't try to be commedians or irritatingly laugh at nothing like Mat Armstrong and his Dad. You are an absolute credit to the trade.
