Hi! Was looking for a video about replacing the light in a Hallmark lighthouse & found this one! My mom has a 2008 lighthouse (red tower with white & green house), & the house lights still work fine, but the lighthouse bulb itself is burned out. Could you possible make a video on how to disassemble the tower to replace the bulb only, or maybe an instruction version? Thank you for this one, I'll definitely keep it in mind should one of the house lights go out!

Hello, I just posted a new video that now includes information on disassembly. Each tower will be different so that section can be more troublesome as you will see in the video. Allot of the pieces are glued together so you have to be patient and look for the separation points and then some trial and error.

Hello! My mother has this exact ornament, and got it from her late mother. We were hoping to repair it this year, and were surprised to find someone had a video on our exact one. This was very helpful, though we have yet to pass the first hurdle of actually opening it! How do you suggest doing that without damaging or breaking it? If you do see this comment, I would greatly appreciate any tips! Thank you so much either regardless, this video itself was a relief to find.

Hi There, This is a really cool ornament and I'm glad this video can help. It can be tricky to get started and I think I did have to break the top of the light house to get that LED installed. But don't worry, as you can see it all goes back together nicely. Send me an email to the address in the about page and I can help you further.

Thanks for the video but I think you buried part of the lead here. Most people (like me) are more than happy to replace with an incandescent bulb of the same size/style, but you never mention how you disassembled the light house (w/o breaking it). In addition, I think the incandescent bulb is just more authentic than an LED bulb, anyway.

Sure, people have their preferences. Just a note that neither bulb was bad however since I switched to LED light strings for our tree I need a lower power option so I could plug in to the strand and still have all the other lights working. I probably could have still made it work with the original bulb but then I'm in the other preference group anyway. Your comment did remind me that I made an updated video last year when I had to replace a bad capacitor in the circuit and I showed the disassembly part. I realized I never posted the video. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have the other video posted soon.

@ thanks for the follow up and look forward to the new video. As far as my Hallmark lighthouses - they run off their own cord and power source also provide by Hallmark. The lights on our tree are built into the prelit tree and are LED.

I was hoping this would involve electrical tape and maybe a new bulb or battery. When you pulled out your schematic, I was out. 🤣🤣 #communicationmajor

Yeap, I was surprised as well. I think I mentioned that in the video. Especially with the 555 timer. Kudos to Hallmark for doing a nice design.
