The rod where the pin goes thrugh has about half an inc of play causing the bottom to hang down. Any ideas?

could you tell us the whirlpool part number of the worm gear you replaced and where you ordered it from? I have the same pronlem with the same Kitchenaid Pro 600 model you have. Thanks

If you go on to the whirlpool website, look for parts, there is a breakdown to what you need.. I can’t tell you the correct number because they go off of the serial number of the mixer. That is why I didn’t include the part number because if it wrong for your mixer you wouldn’t be too happy. KA mixers need to be maintained to stay running. Try driving your car without changing the oil. How will that work for you? It’s very similar to.

The little bit of grease in this machine won’t hurt you. I am a heavy duty mechanic and have had lunch and coffee breaks where you can’t wash, never killed me..
