This is an amazing update, would love to know the average cost of repair for such work.

I have had several 107's with wet floors.I now own a 50K mile car that has never been outside overnight in the rain even. One of the things I am careful of is making sure when my car is serviced they don't put detergent in the windscreen washer only pure water. I do this as the drain holes for the windscreen wipers drain right through the bulkhead and I am scared the detergent will not help the rust problem. Mark 1985 380SL New Zealand

Anyone know of a shop in the states that performs such work as this? Shipping to the UK doesn’t seem practical. Thanks

I would like to know, why wasn*t the bulkhead, of the R-107, wasn*t protected from the factory knowing that that area, there would be some drain holes, especially, if you have, water travelling down, from when you use squirt water to the windshield, or if it is raining, the rainwater goes down through the drains, out, but if it is clogged up, that could lead to potential rust, also once you guys repair the bulkhead, do you add protection, like a rust prevention system, to help prevent rust from damaging the part that you fix or replace, because thecR-107, can be a nice car but if the owners pride & joy starts to rust, the car can be nice, but once rust attacks it that will lead to the car rusting away, and the bulkhead is one of the important parts of the car, by making it safe,,strong since that is a unibody, right.
