My oldest son ( 48 years old) had his entire hot wheels collection from when he was little. Hundreds of them. Several years ago, a tornado took his entire house, leaving only three concrete steps that used to lead to the front door. He was devastated, as was I. It was interesting seeing how to restore a little car. Thanks Alex!

I don't know if there was a workshop planned in the new house, but if there is, I noticed a lot of the KZbinrs who do restoration have a sand blasting cabinet. They also have the gear to do powder coating, though that may be for larger projects. Love the shade of blue you selected, the paint with metalflake looks great on model cars and real ones.😉

I dunno if you do those often or not. But if you do then often, you may want to get an airbrush then get paint from either the Redline Shop or Second chance redlines. Both are websites. PLUS, Second chance have made an axle tool so you can fix the axles with less risk of damaging them. I know that somebody also did reproduction bearings, so when you have one of those with missing/damaged axles, you just need to find the right size for the metal rod and then put on the new bearings. I know that Paul, at Diecast Graveyard (On KZbin), use them from times to times when he do modern redline customs. I don't know if you do such restorations often, but if you do, I'd be willing to watch you fix more of those. ^^

FYI for stripping paint where you can soak it overnight you can use a 1 to 1 mix of Simple Green cleanser and water or full strength LA's totally awesome. Use it all the time on painted metal miniatures in the wargaming hobby. Both safe for metal, resin, and plastics.

Hey Alex. What do " PAM Clocks " ( like the one in the opening ), " Poloron Insulated Coolers " and " Airequipt Slide Projectors " all have in common? Anyone? Anyone? Beuhler? Times up......The answer is they were all made in my hometown of New Rochelle, NY. There were many well known people who were born in or lived in New Rochelle. John Jay.....Americas first Chief justice was born there. Bob Denver......Gilligan was born there. James Gregory......Actor was born there. Jay Leno......Noted vintage car collector was born there. Lou Gehrig.......The iron man of baseball lived there. Norman Rockwell......Noted artist had studio and lived there. Remington.....Noted sculptor lived there. Susan B Anthony.......Taught school there. Willy Mays.......Another Ball player lived there. Walter Lantz.....Created Woody Woodpecker lived there. Don McClean.....Bye Bye miss American Pie was born there. Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee......Both lived there and I met personally at NRHS Prayer Breakfast in the 70's. I think New Rochelle should change the sign as you enter the city. It should read. WELCOME TO NEW ROCHELLE It's NOT just the home of Rob & Laura Petri
