I bought a 1992 Mercedes 190E 2.3 with the goal of building an Evo II replica for under $20,000. We're now on time crunch to get the car ready for Wek Fest Seattle on June 9th and DRIVEN Vancouver 15th. Will we get it done in time? Will we get it done within the budget?

Use the German brand one. It’s close to Mercedes quality. Expensive tho but I rather pay a lot of money for a good kit than hassle around with shit like in the video

9:20 pretty sure that flap part goes on top of the wing not the trunk itself ?

I would have cut an opening in between the holes on the wing, removed the riv-nuts, and glass aluminum hard point in the inside to tap threads into. Otherwise keep it under 80mph. You need someone who know what they are actually doing to fix it properly.

@@magnacars I'd make sure he uses 1/4" aluminum hard points in it or you'll have the same problem. Should be 6061-T6. Riv-nuts won't properly hold that wing on.

Fiber body kits are mostly like that, you have to have to car painter skills as to fit it, if you never done any this dont dream installing wide body kit, it takes time and patience.

There will be lots of work and to be honest, not sure you will ever get the ficih or the longevity that you want. By the time the kit is removed, rust fixed or new donor car found, and refitted there will probably be even more issues at this point. I genuinely think refund and burn the kit

Sorry to tell this but you just bought a knockoff Thai evo bodykit, the original bodykit is from “Umb Autobody”, And there are quite a drama in 190e thailand community about this knockoff bodykit.
