I used to make knives and ship them all over the world. A bike crash put a stop to that, I had to do something with my hands though. I’ve learned from you, I am restoring a 75 Toyota truck now. Doing my own rust repair for the first time. It’s going well. Thanks Brent for the inspiration. I only have a flux core Lincoln, but it works.

Brent , if you’re constantly welding a lot! You might want to take your air nozzle and blow out the liner and I usually change out to a new tip every roll of wire my friend, the rollers may break some of the coating off the wire and it will build up in the liner, just a little tip my friend from a retired welder of 37 years and I enjoy watching you fabricate different things! I still have my mig and I upgraded to a Lincoln 180 amp and 220 power supply from my Lincoln 100 amp with a 110 power supply ! I still do small jobs for myself and if a neighbor or friend needs something! Yeah the 100 amp mig would be perfect for the body work but I wanted start weld thicker material so what I have now will weld as thick as a 1/2” and I’m satisfied with that my friend! My favorite video of yours was the building of the “General “ , very impressive build and I love that truck and the way you designed it and fabricated it from two big eighteen wheeler cabs! The coolest thing I’ve ever seen Brent, I believe it the coolest truck I’ve ever seen! Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your channel and content brother, always sending prayers and good vibes to you and your (Esther), you guys are so awesome and and I was so broken about the old shop but y’all have been amazing throughout everything! Your fabrication is awesome brother! Kirk from Louisiana USA 🇺🇸🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸 Thanks for sharing my friend!

Seems nice to see you do metalwork again! Looks like you banged the old noggin on the bottom of the truck. I came up with another way to reuse worn 5” discs using a 3” rubber threaded sanding backer. I used a washer with the same ID as the backer shaft, reduced the washer OD to fit inside the 5” hub, and cut down a gnarly sanding pad to lock it all together. Works great!

With stringing the wire through the liner, I take emery cloth and remove the jagged edge on the end of the wire and rounding it a bit. This pretty much eliminates the wire damaging the liner. Putting on the correct tip for the wire helps. 😉🤣

Hello Brent, tell me you're going to paint this Apache, she deserves it, I think this pick up and Chevy impala are the two models of the brand in 1958 and 1959, I think if I lived in America I would restore all 1958 Impalas and 1959 Apaches (or 58 too) to find ahead ha ha ha ha!!!
