Sounds like possible battery problems.These batters can only be charged a certain number of times before they will not hold charge anymore.What is the battery indicator doing when you plug it in.

Thanks so much for the tip! I basically stopped using my Sansa Clip since I broke the clip, and now I'll be able to repair it and start using it again!

Brilliant idea! I used to have a Saturn SL but I still have my Sansa Clip and love it. Clip hasn't broken yet but always wondered what to do when it inevitably does!

The one thing I miss about the older sansa clips. They clip was actually removable.

thank you for showing this! I was thinking of fixing mine with a clothes pin but thought the pin wold be too big. I didn't know they came in that small size. Would super glue work well for doing this? I really don't know how to use those bonding agents that you mix up

Any guesses as to what Rich has loaded up on that unit? Maybe some Stones, Beatles or Led Zeppelin?

I did what he suggested and my mp3 player still clips on my waist. I have used it approximately 4 times per week for several months. Not the most aesthetic solution but since it is under my shirt, it is not visible. Thank you.

Great low-tech solution to a high-tech design flaw. Has it been durable in these last four years?

I own a newer model, the Clip Jam, and after 3 years of use, the clip on mine finally broke a few days ago (it still works otherwise, though). I might try this out to repair it.

This issue with the clip on the Sandisk MP3 player is still happening in 2024. I messaged them several times to complain about it because every time I but one the clip breaks off easily.

I just got my Sansa clip+ after I charged battery full and it does not turn off. Who know why does that show me how to fix please.Thank you.
@superstrudel10 жыл бұрын
"turn off"? You mean "turn on"? It could be a lot of things, guy. We can't know it without opening the Sansa : could you return it, with the warranty?
@ajbfwb8 жыл бұрын
It's probably doesn't make much sense for me to reply to this 2 years after the fact, but Hien probably meant BOTH. The power button on the Clip+ seems to be at least one of it's "Achilles Heels". Cracking these things open is no easy task without damaging it. I'm not sure if there's even anything that can be done for a power switch gone wonky. The one, albeit lame, workaround, is to attach the Clip+ to a power source of some sort (either computer or, more conveniently, a portable power bank) to power the unit on, and to rely on whatever time level you've chosen in the settings, for it to power off automatically. All 4 iterations of the Sansa series (Clip, Clip+, Sport, Jam) have had one issue or another. Most feel that as Sandisk has ("have", for the newer grammar rule sticklers) evolved the series, they haven't really improved overall. I wish I'd bought several of the original Clip back when Buy.com was selling refurbished units for as low as $10 each. Not only was the clip replaceable, the overall tactile feel made it easier to navigate without looking directly at it. The spring loaded momentary power switch was more effective and I think it had the best battery life, as well. Even with the most careful treatment, you can't expect any of them to last forever, especially with daily use for months and years at a time. It doesn't really surprise me that the volume rocker eventually went bad on one of mine. The main thing is, we wouldn't have to worry about them lasting forever if Sansa would just make the newest model more desirable than the previous.
