Yeah that second game. Big buck hunter. That's the best one. I like it. But I would rather have Seawolf 1976. That's my favorite video game of all time.

Massive improvement! If those transistors are known for running very hot and causing the solder to fail, you might try reflowing with lead-free due to its higher melting point. I've found that can help with joints that get very hot. Just be sure to clean up the leaded solder very well so you don't have cross contamination. I posted in another video of yours, so I won't leave an essay again, but AIM Glow Core SN100C is my go-to lead-free solder. As long as you have a good iron and tips that are a good fit for the work you're doing, it's really not hard to work with lead-free, at least if you're not dealing with stuff that's very sensitive to being burned.

I've done that before. In TVs/monitors, there have been times that I changed specific capacitors due to specific problems. There's usually a 100 mfd cap in, I forgot, the high voltage or deflection section that can cause an annoying problem. The screen looks like it is breathing. So if that's the only problem you have, it makes sense to change that. Older techs were often taught that shotgun repairs were poor form. I'm not saying they were right, just trying to give insights about why only some are changed.

that cap logic would apply to everything else also the resistors were all put in at the same time the ic chips the transistors etc etc yet they dont all get replaced at 1 time

Great video! I have a Sammy gun that is not registering. Would you happen to know what Opti board it uses? I took the gun apart, but the board in it is wrong, and I can't find any information that clearly states what board goes in it. This is the make and model that was installed: uni-san model 95-1019-00-v6. Thanks. V/R

The hardware on the Exidy games is a nightmare, we don't work on those. We had a couple in and couldn't repair them, and couldn't find anybody who COULD repair them. One guy sent his board off to be repaired and the guy ripped him off for hundreds of dollars. We tried putting the multigame in it and the one we picked was the biggest piece of crap ever designed, it immediately broke as well. Just junk design and I would never work on another one again. Complete nightmare and waste of weeks of time.

Why does it cause vertical lines when the capacitors are bad on the arcade monitor circuit board? I'm guessing the leaky bad capacitors cause the Raster Scan Line Pattern to become visible but not sure why?

Great games. Extreme Hunting 2 has better graphics, but Big Buck Hunter Call of the Wild has much better gameplay, so if I had my choice of games, Big Buck Hunter would be it.

I'd say most people who enjoy video games today aren't big on hunting games. It's a niche genre nowadays. The last hunting game most people played was Duck Hunt, and often only because it came with the NES. So I, along with all the others with this feeling of apathy toward hunting games, am not qualified to comment on which one is more fun.
