11:07, Thanks for the close up; it answered my question. BTW, you could've cut that bad spot out and welded a fresh piece of steel in and ground it smooth. Most of the bracket would be saved and the repair would almost never be noticed.

Love that you're saving all you can! Suggestion for scrap.... paint it OD and give bits to children you give rides to. You wont be throwing away and you may inspire future history nerds like us!

6:09, BTW, what Spearhead Unit is that patch? My Dad was a mechanic in Spearhead 3 after the Korean War. He did his basic training at Ft Hood, Texas, and he was stationed in Frankfort, Germany. He had two kind of High School Year books from his time at Ft Hood, I loved to look at all the photos in those books. I think my older sister has them, I wish I had them.

I might be wrong about this one but I think that Ur video would be better without the support of the music, by having the ambiance of the shop sounds good be better! Thanks for reading by for now

1:06, No, it isn't scrap. Ten or twenty years from now, you may never find parts like you found. Original parts are always worth more than a reproduction. Unless those engine blocks are either cracked or badly rusted, they can be rebuild and be as good as new again. But, it is a shame to see the rotted sheet metal body parts. But that old hood with the star and numbers is an amazing gem to have as a wall hanger. BTW, make sure you same all the original hardware as well.

Fair play Jamie. Were these jeeps from the camp originally? I see that Gerald had been storing them 😂 It’s a shame that he nor Jon will see them all running. Will they be going to Normandy for the 80th??
@Jwresto11 ай бұрын
Hi mate yeah they were! Gerald saved them! Now it’s my job to save them once again 🤞 Yeah it will be a shame buddy they would have loved to see them up and running. Hopefully they will be ready mate are you going to the 80th?

@@Jwresto not sure yet. We went to the 70th and stopped in Arromanches. Amazing experience to be on the beach on the 6th. We are in the south of France at that time but may come up, not sure yet.
