“Don’t call me the N-word, that’s one thing that I aspire not to be, not to wear that jacket” I wish more black people thought like that. We didn’t “reclaim power over the word” just because we wear that jacket proudly. That’s the lie we tell ourselves. Truth is We are worth so much more than that word and we are greater than the standard the N-word represents. 💎💜

I've heard ppl say there are N in every race. The word is shocking to me. My neighbor used it the other day speaking about current events. I literally dropped my jaw and he probably laughed as I stormed off unable to speak. It's naive of me to think this word isn't used much anymore, I just don't understand why ppl say it STILL!

This man has a quiet introspection and strength that could have served him well if he had been afforded opportunities outside of his immediate environment. We have all seen people who command respect by their very presence and demeanor. Here he is, living on the streets of DTLA and it is apparent by the comments, that a 30 minute glance into his life has created a positive opinion in the eyes of most of the viewers. Imagine if he were sitting there in a suit and tie.

@Shannon Clark or maybe he's smart enough to explain his the reason being that the other victims were not as intelligent as most are simple... I have also fought undefeated in my youth and I always will say I was undefeated because I was. Maybe I am entertaining the audience by boasting my actual knowledge of combat. If I lost I would say I have lost... just because others are caught with saving face does not mean everyone else is lying... it's obviously possible to be an undefeated fighter. Maybe if you haven't versed a better adversary, or you were just better than every opponent engaged. But I am grateful I experienced the latter...

I put repeat on in the car, his voice is so calming to me. The way he exhales after he speaks, it reminds me of my father.

Everyone on this channel has shown remarkable spirit but I've never rooted harder for anyone else on this series than Pete. I hope he fulfills his wishes.

When you watch this man's story you begin to realize how messed up the world is that this man with all his knowledge and kindness never stood a chance.

He’s so compelling to watch. I feel he could be an actor as he comes across so natural and honest on camera.
