You're right about consistent practice and time. I fumbled through your cascading pentatonic lesson for 6 months and I can finally do it, it just takes patience and time, sometimes a LOT of time

Same! I quit playing for a few years. I decided to pick it up again and have spent hours each day for the last 18 months and things you think are impossible are possible if you sink enough time into it.

I just love you man. That might sound wrong. But amongst so many many guitarists out there on KZbin, You stand above all when it comes to teaching how to shred and along with all those motivating statements you give. May god bless you man. I wish there were more like you.

Ross, great lesson! Question, on the first lick, would it be bad technique to do a hammer on and pull of on 15 to 12 on the B string? I keep having a tendency to hammer on and pull off instead of picking 15 on the B string and then pulling off.

What’s the bridge pickup you have on there? I see the middle and neck are those DiMarzio Cruisers.

Great suggests, you really made an useful video for a beginner who is "desperate" ahahha. When i was a beginner i was like:"oh, god, there's no way that i'll ever be as fast as Slash", but as you said:"keep practicing and challenge yourslef and the results will come" hell yes, i started 8 years ago playing guitar and now i'm at the 5th year of conservatory (almost 6 :D), and i could never imaged to reach this level, so to all of you guys out there keep workin' hard and push yourself through your limit :D Great video Ross, you are really a good teacher (and a very good musician of course) Keep going man :D

On the first lick, I'm can't get the last pulloff note to ring loudly, especially the faster I play. I have to pick it individually to really hear it which slows the lick down.
@gw20314 жыл бұрын
You learn to very quickly switch your finger power off to the finger doing the bend,,if it's still stiff and taught you don't have enough hand energy to pull off cleanly,,if you keep all the fingers you need for a riff stiff and uptight these licks will be hard to play repetitively,,,transfer hand energy between your fingers as you need it ,hope that helps mate
