Got to be water first if you're making tea in the mug with a bag. Otherwise, the milk cools the water, you never get truly boiling water on the bag and hence less flavour. Pour boiling water on the bag and don't add the milk until you've removed the bag from the mug. If you make it in a pot, you can put milk in the cup first. That's the law.

My favorite videos have been the engine builds. It’s made me tackle in to a 1.8T rebuild of a spare engine I had. What I learned the most apart from the theory, which was good, was also the cleanness and discipline in taking your time. Once you got it wrong building an engine while talking to camera, It was when you were putting valves in I think, and it taught me that everyone makes mistakes, and not to beat yourself up when you do and start down a negative path of “I mustn’t be able to do it”, but rather replace it with- everyone screws up, why did it happen and learn from it.

The reason that milk was originally put in the cups first was the poor quality mugs that they had back in the day, would crack if the boiling water was put in first! So they put the milk in first to cool the water down so the cups would not cracked. Atb

Historically I believe it’s milk first, as tea was made in china cups, so it cooled the boiling water a fraction and stopped the fine china cracking, so it’s always milk first, and then a digestive or hob nob dunked 🤦🏻♂️👍🏆👏 Happy New Year to you all, and Kate! many thanks for all the great content 👍🏁

I was at a presentation many years ago by the late Sam Twining who owned the tea factory in Andover of the same name. He stated that when making tea the water must be boiling and poured onto the tea bag. The boiling water was important to allow the full flavour to be realised. Sorry, Ricky.

Hey look I don’t mean to detract from the awesome content, but here’s the deal…. Milk only goes in to the cup first when the tea is made in a teapot and already steeped. If your bag of choice is in your empty mug, you add the hot water then add the milk, steep the bag with a gentle squeeze until you obtain the right colour, remove bag and drink once slightly cooled, that’s it…. PS you mention you work on McLaren’s, do you offer or know of a warranty provider outside of manufacturer or TMS who I presume you are talking about in the video, thanks

Hi Ricky, Great videos, love the channel. here’s a question. You say that you don’t think, the business of tuning of ICE performance cars will slow down, but if it does, with high end manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini etc… looking to have electric/hybrid cars coming into production in the next couple of years. Might you think of setting up a specialist team in a satellite workshop working on electric/hybrid supercars under the REPerformance brand, which is obviously highly respected? This would be complementing the existing business, keeping a foot in both camps. Personally I would like to think there will be a breakthrough in zero carbon fuels, similar to what F1 is about to try that will keep the internal combustion engine going well into the future, alongside a mix of other technologies. All the best Graham

Without data of your lap it’s hard to say what your biggest cause would be but normally it’s your minimum apex speed is too low as you have scrubbed too much on way in and then slow to get back in the gas and not hard enough…..wait at the apex and get the turn finished then lash it on hard mate!
