On my 2008 Dodge Durango I have to actually go from underneath the wheel well then take out the 10 mm bolt on the back of the assembly plus two in the front underneath two on top in the front my old Silverado is so much easier to change light bulbs just reach in turn it to the left

You don’t have to get the headlight position adjusted after doing this?

Not generally. This really only comes into play with some of the newer LED lights which you may have to adjust but even then it's the bulb you adjust and not the light.
