Thank you for posting a ceiling fan install video. 🫡

Thanks for the excellent video. I have a weird situation and thought I'd see if you or others have experienced the same. I have the same unit as in your video. The jumper wire info is great and helped to isolate my problem to the sensor control. I've replaced the sensors 5 or 6 times over the last few months. They will usually last one to three months and either quit making ice or won't stop making ice. At first I thought maybe the manufacturer had a bad run of components but after this many replacements I'm not sure what's going on. I've purchased them on Amazon and then switched to an online parts supplier. They all look the same anyway. It is so strange that some of the sensors quit making ice and some won't stop??!! On the sensors that quit making ice I can see a burnt resistor on the main circuit board. On the sensors that won't stop making ice all of the components appear okay. The other fridge components all check out as working as best as I can determine. Now I just use a jumper wire until the ice bucket is full and then remove the wire until the bucket needs refilling. Thanks again for the concise, informative video.

Hi, great video. Hope yoy can answer this -- I replaced the light bulb for the headlamp. It worked for awhile then it did not work. Took it to my friend who's a part time mechanic. He said he just tightened the bulb in the socket. Again it worked and then stopped working. So i'm thinking it is the socket/wiring bit?? which I dont know what to call properly . Or loose wiring somewhere? Do you have any suggestions? TIA
@ClintHolland3 күн бұрын
It certainly sounds like an issue with the bulb socket. You can buy a new one but you will have to cut the wires to connect it.

I wish I did. Are they even replaceable?
@saladiva13 күн бұрын
Shouldn't you at least cover the alternator? It wouldn't be good if some of that water splashes on to the alternator while the engine is idling.
@ClintHolland13 күн бұрын
I am not saying it's ideal but water won't hurt your alternator.

Thank you Clint! This was a great reference tutorial. I have a comment and an update. -The comment by @chubam... was useful - thank you. -I have a 2008 RX400H and the bulb is not the "L" configuration that you show. It's a "HID Xenon D2S" and it is held by retaining clips once the connector is removed (inside the cover). Note that I have a couple of reference photos but don't have a way to attach them.

Hey clint I don't know if you still reapond to messages. I have a 1997 lexus es300 with the stock Pioneer amp and subwoofer. I blew my subwoofer out and I bought the replacement you linked but I'm worried that the starting RMS is going to fry my stock amp. I bought the 8 inch kicker 4ohms 200w rms, 400w peak.
@ClintHolland22 күн бұрын
I still do. You are using a 4 ohm which is higher than the 2 ohm. That is very safe but it probably won't be nearly as loud. However, it won't hurt the amp.

Do you think it would be beneficial if you were to do this on a yearly basis so that would not be so much to remove and improve in the surface?

There is now a Turtlewax "2 in one headlight cleaner and sealer" product that might help keep the fogging from coming back if used a few times (like every time after a carwash) a year not a heavy duty "restoration" but might help maintain ?

Excellent video. I had to remove my RS rear door on a similar, 2010 Lexus ES350. I read in another video that these doors weigh "270 lbs". Such nonsense. FYI -- I weighed the RS rear door. The panel weighs 8.5 lbs and the door weighs 56 lbs. for a total of 64.5 lbs. All 4 doors ES350 don't weigh 270 lbs.Important note: If you're removing any door, unplug battery for 60 mins. before detaching wire bundle at door hinge. There are 10 air bags in a 2010 ES350. Detach battery to avoid possibly setting off airbag in door.

Great video. Wax your headlights once a year and you will slow down the oxidation process significantly after restoration. You can also wax your headlights new from the factory once a year to greatly slow down the oxidation process. Best, JB

Bummer. First of all, thank you for the very informative video. I found one day that I had the blinking lights of doom, found your video and when I used the jumper it immediately went into harvest mode and continued making ice. Unfortunately I have tried 3 different sets of boards now and they all fail. The 3rd one I tried seemed to be fine, but alas when I checked in the morning nothing had actually happened and it was back to blinking. I have 120v on the emitter and receiver so I'm baffled as to what is going on. Any thoughts? Thanks again!

Wow, I really don't. You have verified power which would have been my next ask. Do you see the invisible light on the new sensors when you use a camera to check it?
