I installed Street or Track struts which are similar on my 69 Mach 1. Everything is tight. Definitely can tell the improvement in handling. There is no rattles or squeaks. That is what would drive me crazy. I really don’t notice any noise above the stock set up. Glad to see you making progress on the Falcon.

When the big 100K finely happens it's going to be a big deal. Your content is always good and when not your Earth'lin humor takes over. The producer says we need more kitty cat! I'm just being nice because it's my birthday. Thanks again.

What can I say sometimes the cat wants to be in the videos and sometimes she doesn't she's just like my wife lol.

This is a very nice setup. I wish someone would make a spherical bushing setup that's weather sealed.

There is a fourth option after stock, polyurethane and spherical bushing: high durometer rubber from Global West - firmer than stock, but with enough flex (unlike polyurethane). This is what I am putting on my 63.5 260 V-8 Falcon. Note that the 63.5 V-8 Falcon also uses adjustable strut rods from the factory! One of those things that Ford only used for a number of months.

Good to see ya back cam. I once drilled an exhaust stud out and just kept on drilling into the water jacket!! 🤷♂️ what can I say it was very early in my career.

It can always be worse right?

I done same on my ford without remove lower arm. Strut rod go out easy.

If you have the stock suspension, it will.

Man i watch all your stuff. you are very sharp on these old fords. i need help on a 63.5 galaxie! 351w swap. no hood clearance. shorter mounts, trim stools etc...... If you are familiar with this issue please reply

I’d disagree with your statement Cam about “clevis style” strut rods. If I remember correctly, you have the street or track strut rods, which have a heim joint thru that clevis. That heim allows for the same full articulation as the RRS strut rod. They both perfectly follow the arc of the LCA. Two different ways to get after the same issue. I couldn’t say that one is better than the other.

Maybe a large rawhide hammer, maybe a right angel drill would help....Please get rid of the claw hammer, it's for driving nails, etc.

Those are purdy. I wonder if they'd work on a 63 thunderbird.

RRS-USA would need to know the diameter of the shaft itself and if the shaft is fully threaded like later Ford strut rods to know whether or not you're going to have a problem with those working on a 63 Thunderbird.

I want those things.

You talk alot about the older ford, but would the same principals apply to my 1992 taurus SHO?

Nice video and timely for me. I have the spherical strut rods sitting on the shelf waiting install. I am concerned that it may be too noisy for me from what you said in the video. So, if I decided I wanted to shift to an RRS urethane bushing strut rod, I would have to reinstall the bushing seat-ring you punched out of the crossmember. I've never seen that advertised anywhere. How would you source that? What's it's official name? You called it a c-bushing at 6:40.
@AutoRestoMod2 жыл бұрын
Here's the thing, if you've got an engine with some rumble to it and you have big tires on the car with thin profile, you'll never hear those bushings running lol. And they're gonna perform better than the urethane.

Maybe not have the zert hole pointed straight down? If it was clocked to the side when drilling I think you would have better angle for the through bolts.

well all that fancy beautiful hardware you installed looks like it belongs in a IBM chip mfg clean room, with that said I cringe when you take out your 3 pound steel hand sledge to drift bolts of knock parts into position! plastic impact hammers tend to be large and need a bit of swing room so how about a lead 3 pound hammer? will never damage your hardware or damage the coatings on the hardware does not even screw up bolt threads! just saying but thx for the good video!
